Are you using doc's directory? I think he meant ftp because that is the only way you can put ASSS stuff in there. Like I said, it will be up and working. Limited to 2 or 3 users at once though. Quote

I can't host anything on my computer cause of routing issues; all inbound connections are blocked by my "ISP"... which is my school...So I could test stuff... but... alone. Doing it now, before I run again. FTP will be granted when someone asks for it. We don't need subgame dev's logging into the ftp clogging the 2-3 user max. ASSS developers will have FTP, basically. Yes Samipico, these zones are a blessing, and just what we needed to go further and expand our development connections. Hopefully we can work on battlezone. Still need that base (I might just do it myself if nobody else will), and we need people to respond to the battlezone post , it needs discussion, sparks must fly. Anyways, I'm making you all sysop, and adding SSBeta to moderators. Edit: I'll need FTP to add staff to the ASSS server. I think. But I'm runnin', hopefully we have FTP before I return, and someone else adds everyone. Quote

I tried other ftp packages like Serv-U, Bulletproof, etc., they connect, I can connect, but other computer can't. It's kind of annoying. Quote
Smong Posted June 14, 2007 Report Posted June 14, 2007 Due to the possibility some of SSDev do not yet have an account on the SST biller or have not set their ?passwd on the ASSS zone there is potential for random users to try and gain sysop powers. Anyway... this doesn't matter so long as a) no sensitive information is stored on the ASSS zone, backups are kept regularly incase someone goes in and messes everything up. Quote

Feel free to do whatever you want to the servers, you will find it very hard to make me angry. Just don't be immature and delete other people from sysop and such, unless they are the ones doing it to others, then delete them. But, I don't have much time right now, in the past days, and in the coming days. So I just wanted to get these zones up and running for you guys. If theres anyone who wants to join, needs powers in the zones, needs something else, it can all be handled without me here.
