How does this work exactly?

 

Ive filled in a form to get the name Lucozade back which I lost. It's been a while since ive done that and ive not had any kind of response to it.

I've left my email, how I lost the name. My IP and MID, is there anything else?

 

How do they contact you?

How long does it take roughly?

How do I know if any progress is being made or is going to be made?

 

Could I get some answers on this please before it gets closed.

I think it explains fairly well at ssbilling or something where you get it. The process length = whenever someone is !@#$%^&*ed to get to it ^^.

Which is pretty much never. I've put in numerious requests for various names and have never had anyone contact me about anything. If you set a vaild email, then use ?lostp!@#$%^&*word. If not, then your best bet is to try and remember the password, because no one on the council or those responsible for retrieving/releasing names care enough to even look. It's a great concept, just poorly managed.

I've been hearing this for a long while already. My best guess is that nobody is handling the requests of ssbase.com anymore and nobody will (like SyrusMX also said).

 

Such poor management of the SSC council. They also seem very afraid to transfer their jobs to anybody else.

I would keep trying to remember my password but it locks you out after so many tries for a little while which is pretty gay.

Can't we get new people to handle the stuff on ssbase?

I told 'em putting Mackieman in charge of anything was a bad idea. Just like I told them putting SVS in charge of anything was a bad idea, but they didn't listen. The "news" on ssbase hasn't even been updated since March 2006 not to mention it still lists SVS as an "operator". Kewlair doesn't care about anything unless it inflates his e-penis (he's SVS version 2), and Goku and Wonderer I rarely hear anything from, unless something happens that involves their zones. I wouldn't expect a reply back.

It's fearless leader MikeTheNose does a great job of doing nothing, as does the rest of the council. I say let them stay in power. 4 MORE YEARS! 4 MORE YEARS! ... *hangs self*

 

The only person who has any power to do anything is Ghostship, and everyone's got their lips attached to some sexual organ of his that he either 1) doesn't care about what happening, or 2) doesn't see it. Either way, I don't expect anything to get done.

But what I think is, if we do get new people, the same !@#$%^&* will happen. It will start out good, but end this way also. They should definitely have something like how the president can -only- be president for 8 years. Something to that extent.

There's only 2 of us doing name/squad requests now (kewl and I) so we're pretty backed up. We do a bunch at a time when we're on, but what we really need is two more billing ops to help out. There's a discussion about it now within the SSC so help is on the way.

The fastest way to get a name recovered is if your MID/IP is still the same when you first created the name. The more of the info that matches the better for you. I know this is almost impossible but thats what I was told awhile ago.

Bingo. Any new ops would have to be existing council members. There were some problems with ops in the past actually selling names and squads so now any billing ops that are added are going to come from the council, which basically means they were already screened and are trusted.
