Continuum not running properly on Vista.

Hi, im new to the forum. Have been searching and looking around for people and topics about the same problem which i intend to have since i installed Vista on my computer.

 

I have the Windows Vista Ultimate 64bit version, 6600GT 128mb GeForce, 1024Ram ect ect. Have the latest drivers ect

 

I cant play Continuum on my computer properly, i need to borrow my friends laptop with in XP system on it. Once i enter a server, say Trench Wars(or any other servers for that matter) it instant start to lagg/hack(dont know the right explanation on english, not my first language). Well, it feels like i have very low FPS(frames per second). Tried all from reinstalling vista, reinstalling drivers, looking for updates ect ect. Like i said, have also been looking around for answers on this forum. I dont know much about commands and stuff within Continuum which might give an log or something about my problems/laggs/packet loss ect. Therefor i turn myself to you guys, anyone who knows anything i can do or try?

ingame, you can use esc - F to show FPS

 

You could try some advanced graphic options:

From main menu, View -> Advanced Options...

You can try 'avoid page flipping' and some other options down there too

Thanks for the help, but im afraid it didnt work as planned. Also had a constant FPS of 20.

Something about Continuum hates certain video cards. I can't even play with mine because it only gives me 9 frames per second, so I have to use on board video.

It possibly could be a gfx card, not quite the first suspect I would blame though.

 

First thing to try is to eliminate your windows aero scheme and still see if you have the problem, then systematically eliminate things like windows firewall (if its on), Vista security measures ect. and see if the removal of any/all of them help out with your fps.

 

Always try to trouble shoot the solution with your software before you resort to hardware on these types of issues. Specially being you are only running 1gb of ram with ultimate, and ultimate has a lot of services you will never need.

 

Also if you have a flash drive, preferably > 1GB, you can format that to run as a psuedo memory source which I know has been proven to greatly enhance the launch time of programs, but it might also help the running of said programs.

 

Give those a shot and let us know.
