bsoder Posted May 30, 2007 Report Posted May 30, 2007 I ran into the problem described by a few other threads here, namely that clicking on any of the menu items - File, Edit, etc - would cause the client to completely freeze, then cause strange right-click behavior in other programs. I thought it might be helpful to share my 'fix' - I changed the skin in the registry, (fuzion or some such rather than the default) and that corrected the problem. Perhaps this should be consolidated with other fixes to this problem? I tried a couple other threads but they were all locked.
PoLiX Posted May 31, 2007 Report Posted May 31, 2007 Hmm. Sounds worth a try. I'll see if it solves it for others.
snow Posted June 2, 2007 Report Posted June 2, 2007 I've had this problem for a while, but i've been using the ceinwyn skin, not the default, just wondering, how do you change the skin in the registry?
rootbear75 Posted June 2, 2007 Report Posted June 2, 2007 skin in the registry? are you talking about? theres a Menu called Skins
Samapico Posted June 2, 2007 Report Posted June 2, 2007 .... there IS a menu called skins, but the bug they're speaking about is that it crashes as SOON as they click on any menu... so they have to change it via the registry To change it, go in the registry editor (Start -> Run... regedit)-Find the folder HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Continuum\State-One of the keys in there is named 'Skin', just change its value to the name of the skin you want. Or set it blank for default.
snow Posted June 2, 2007 Report Posted June 2, 2007 (edited) Thanks sama, I tried it, but it hasnt fixed anything unfortunately. I can't load macro's ingame. Edited June 2, 2007 by snow

bsoder Posted June 6, 2007 Author Report Posted June 6, 2007 worked for a while... and just stopped working. Bizarre. Changing skins again isn't fixing it this time.
