Actually, it's quite good and secure, if your admin knows what he/she is doing. But, like all old software it's being phased out due to incompatability with anything else. Plus I think it was sold off to another company, and they just stopped developing it.

Something tells me that "hotness" in women isn't directy proportianal to "nerdyness".

The argument, "She is hot and very good with computers" doesn't mean, "She is hot, therefore she must also be good with computers".

It's like what I always say to phlosiphy students, "A dog has 4 legs, and a cat has 4 legs. Therefore my cat is a dog".

I dunno man, I've met some hot nerdish/geeky girls. There's lots of 'em, but they hide it really well.

Kinda like Angelina Jolie in the movie Hackers when she's all drinkin and makin out with her boyfriend, then flips right into nerd mode when the nerd guys are checkin out her laptop.

Here is my school desktop.

Looks nice huh? Thanks to the security i cant alter !@#$%^&* blum.gif

yea... my school is like that too

but at my school they have this thing that they can see exactly what you are doing...

i was surfing these forums, and they sent me this full screen message saying:

COMPUTERS ARE ONLY ALLOWED FOR SCHOOL WORK! NO GAMES, E-MAIL, FORUMS, OR MUSIC!

i ignored them 3 times and then the they called the library and told the library person to get me off...

next day, i find that forums.sscentral.com is in the denied list of the Web Security thingy

so i have to use Torpark to get around, but it's VERY slow.. cause i end up tunneling out to nederlands or something, then having to come back across into the states... but at least i can see the forums a little bit..

Haha. We have that kind of !@#$%^&* aswell.. im on an school for nerds (webpage builders/hackers/coders (im 1 of the few) and such)

So we can always disable that ;) .

(Search -> all files and folders -> system -> system administration -> computeradministration -> users -> right click -> new user)

Once you created that you need to logoff (NOT RESTART THE COMPUTER) and enter the machine local with the acount you just created.

ezz.

Also when they lock your workstation you get a screen saying "disabled" or something which fills you whole screen, press the windows key -> ctrl+alt+del -> taskmanager -> disable that screen. ezz blum.gif

novell provides the remote desktop and the lock workstation (fills screen) functions so when you created a new acount as i said above and you login with it.

then you need to look in start -> all applications -> novell -> novell login and login with your normal acount. This way all the options are disabled XD.

They cant use remote desktop on you and they cant use the lock workstation either blum.gif

This works at my school so i duno if it works somewhere else.

I don't really enjoy having big pictures as my desktop background so it's all blue for me, nice and clean but nothing interesting blum.gif

Inc, anyone can attach a picture from digitalblasphemy - don't want to show your desktop? blum.gif
