Drake7707 Posted May 25, 2008 Author Report Posted May 25, 2008 particles engines are used a lot in computer graphics (game and movies), like casting magic in mmo's, fire on a torch, rain, snow, etc etc I wrote the engine because it's cool Blur is a !@#$%^&* tho
Samapico Posted May 26, 2008 Report Posted May 26, 2008 well i didnt think that you USE the program in another program... or is it more for experimenting what particles will go which way when something happens in a game? The actual program he made only tests his particle generator... he could copy-paste the code of the particle generator in a game, then make the game use it. Of course the game won't use the actual .exe ... but you don't want to make a whole game just to test your particle generator
aquarius Posted May 27, 2008 Report Posted May 27, 2008 The 'jump gates', 'interdimensional', and 'transwarp key' graphics in Hyperspace are made using particles. Particle Illusion FTW.
