Smong Posted May 29, 2007 Report Posted May 29, 2007 I'm looking for a sound effect I can use when you talk to NPCs, some kind of unintelligible chatter. I was thinking maybe like when people talk on a phone in old cartoons/films and it sounds sped up and like gibberish. I think GTA1/2 might have some, does anyone have that installed? It would also be nice to get a few of these sounds so I can randomise which one gets played back for variation. I'm also looking for some kind of yoink sound effect as if you were picking up an item, but not like the ones in counter strike.
Hakaku Posted May 29, 2007 Report Posted May 29, 2007 Should I suppose you need these in a .wav format? or other is acceptable?
ThunderJam Posted May 29, 2007 Report Posted May 29, 2007 I used to have a few sounds like that, was saving them for any gta kinda project but now i dont know what i did with them. Id like to hear about what it is you want this for, I might be interested in helping
aquarius Posted May 29, 2007 Report Posted May 29, 2007 i think we would all be interested in helping, sounds like a cool idea you have there and i didn't even hear it yet
Smong Posted May 30, 2007 Author Report Posted May 30, 2007 Any popular format is acceptable, I know how to convert between formats. Thanks for your interest in this project, I just need the sounds for now, I'll let you guys know if I need anymore help.
»Purge Posted May 31, 2007 Report Posted May 31, 2007 I know what you are talking about but I couldn't get the voices down right, but this is what I've got so far. It comes in a fast version and a slow version (the slow version isn't slow, but it has more blank noise so when you loop it it won't sound re!@#$%^&*ed).smong_npc.zip
Sass Posted June 7, 2007 Report Posted June 7, 2007 Try this.... http://www.omega-fire.com/bnapaa1.zip

»Purge Posted June 8, 2007 Report Posted June 8, 2007 there you go, those sound like the ones in GTA2.
Smong Posted June 8, 2007 Author Report Posted June 8, 2007 For reference this is what Aquarius found:http://www.freesoundfiles.tintagel.net/Aud...ople/YAYAYA.WAV I would upload a sample from a sims video from youtube, but uploads don't work for me on this forum. Thanks everyone for helping, I think I'll take a sample from what S!@#$%^&* found.
