i think you know what this topic is about :excl:

 

i dont like how you take a loss when selling an item.

 

theres a lot of items that you dont know if you will like or not, so you buy them to test them. if you dont like them youre out $$$

 

so my suggestion is to make certain items sell for 100% price.

 

items that have to be tested to know if you want them get 100% sell:

 

Guns

Bombs

Reactor Plants

Sublight Drives

 

items that its very clear what they do stay the same:

 

Armor

Alien Technology

Utilities

Sensors

FTL Engines

that is what i do 90% of the time to see how an item is... otherwise if it is cheap (10 - 20k or less) then ide buy it myself and test it

Better suggestion:

Sell at 100% within x minutes of buying it as long as the user doesn't leave center. This would naturally rule out most alien tech and would still let people try out their items.

i like that idea cerium, something like 100% sell price for 90 minutes sounds nice. but i still dont think this should be available for alien tech or ftl. people with barely enough cash can buy and use AD/summoners for whole flag games then resell for full price after (if indeed the time was about 90 minutes). and i dont think AD should be sold for more than a dollar ever.

 

But something like 100% sell price for only 10 or 15 minutes would be fine with me too.

Oooh or better yet you can return it for 100% before your first death. You can fly it and shoot it, but once you die with it its yours, with a fee to re-sell... that'll prey on some egos. girl_devil.gif

 

We should do that for the junk store, at least. lol

hmm i just realized, if an item gets 100% sell then something will be needed to stop people from sitting in stores and buying and selling to raise their bty ;)

The leaving center portion of my idea naturally prevents alien tech from working with that system, since you've already left center.

The deprizing system that functions when you're in safe would balance it out.

cerium, you can still buy those items just outside of the safe zone, within the anti weapon field around the stores. So it would still be possible to bounty this way without any cost or any work (besides macro'ing buy/sell).

 

How about something like 90% of the sell price returned for all guns, bombs, reactors, and sublights. If you can afford a 50k mezon you can afford to lose 10% off the sell price
