Samapico Posted May 15, 2007 Report Posted May 15, 2007 from 2002-2003: 20.2 MB2004: 8.31 MB2005: 17.9 MB2006: 11.8 MB2007: 2.07 MB Starting from January 2004, each day has a different log file (using logmaker.exe)I remember having to split my old 2002-2003 logs because it took a few minutes to load in notepad (or wordpad)... And It was hard to know at which date I split it, had to search through the log to find some kind of reference point... like someone saying the date or somethingSo emm.. my logs folder is 60.4 MB large
»Maverick Posted May 15, 2007 Report Posted May 15, 2007 each day has a different log file (using logmaker.exe) If you're wondering...It works like a charm

Samapico Posted May 16, 2007 Report Posted May 16, 2007 The files arent there to download anymore... Nevermind duh. Didnt read the whole topic. LogmakerTrue... would be good to fix that attachment, or edit the first post to link directly to ssdownloads
Synook Posted May 16, 2007 Report Posted May 16, 2007 Ew... how long have you been playing for??? Personally, I do not keep logs (although sometimes I wish I did )
Incomplete Posted May 16, 2007 Report Posted May 16, 2007 With a log that big you must have alot of trouble finding things you might want from the log
»Maverick Posted May 16, 2007 Report Posted May 16, 2007 text search in files goes quite fast with the right program Textpad usually does miracles.
Dav Posted May 16, 2007 Report Posted May 16, 2007 for mine as they are HTML i just use the search function in firefox. The time stamps in my logs are really useful as well.
rootbear75 Posted May 16, 2007 Author Report Posted May 16, 2007 (edited) i cant get logmaker to work.... and dav, thats because you use subchat2 almost 100% of the time... regular SS doesnt have timestamps Edited May 16, 2007 by rootbear75
Samapico Posted May 16, 2007 Report Posted May 16, 2007 Since mine are all split in small files, I just use windows 'search in files' and it works fine... I was thinking of making myself a small program to do it and return the result lines though... windows only returns the files, then you have to open it, and search again in file
»Ceiu Posted May 16, 2007 Report Posted May 16, 2007 Regular expression searching trumps all of the above methods -- especially when you know roughly what you're looking for, but there may be some discrepancies.
