Depthcharge Posted May 11, 2007 Report Posted May 11, 2007 Hi. I recently moved into a new house. I got my computer all set up and when i tried to connect to SSCI Fusion [or any SSCI, or SSCU for that matter] i get connection problems. With SSCI i get stuck in the "Entering Arena" limbo: My ping to SSCI is 10ms. With SSCU i just get the error: "Connection to Server lost" I can enter and play SSCC and T3. I get stuck on the Entering Arena limbo on the following Servers: SSCI, SSCX [Except for Powerball, it works for some reason], SSCL and SSCE.I get Connection lost on the following servers: SSCU. When i tried to play SSCI fusion last night i got stuck in limbo, the number of players was around 30. This morning there were 12 players, i tried again and i was able to connect, but since noone was playing i left. Now i am trying to get in again and the same limbo result ocurred. I tried deleting my Fusion folder and rejoin, i got the Updated news message but the news never downloaded, when i cancelled the download i got the Connection to server lost message. What do i do? I really want to play in my favorite zones
»Maverick Posted May 11, 2007 Report Posted May 11, 2007 Are you trying to run Continuum via the Run As... option? If you do, don't.
Depthcharge Posted May 11, 2007 Author Report Posted May 11, 2007 We are running a network and a server in the house. However, i'm not the one who put it together so i can't give you the specifics. Run as option? I just run SS via the shortcut in the Startup menu. Thanks for replying back so quickly!
Dav Posted May 11, 2007 Report Posted May 11, 2007 Run a trace to SSCI Fusion, you need to select the zone and hit the "trace" button on your zone select screen. Let it run 50 cycles, export the file and paste its contents in the topic. You arnt using the run as option from your description so don't worry about that.
Depthcharge Posted May 11, 2007 Author Report Posted May 11, 2007 I've started the cycle, my ping is good but there is a lot of loss already, it started on the second cycle. When has reached 50 cycles, do i export it and copy/paste the contents or upload a sepparate file?
Depthcharge Posted May 11, 2007 Author Report Posted May 11, 2007 (edited) ..Accidentally let it run to 66 cycles, but i'm sure that won't matter much.. Here is the trace file. Dav Posted May 12, 2007 Report Posted May 12, 2007 Unfortunately not an awful lot as these routers are beyond your control, These things tend to sort themselves out after a little while. Perheps somone else may have a suggestion or two though.

However, I can get into and play Fusion just fine. So, to follow up with what rootbear said, I highly doubt that is the problem. EDIT: You should try and provide as much information as you can about firewalls/routers on your network. It would probably speed up the process of you getting help. Edited May 15, 2007 by Shock
