Drake7707 Posted May 10, 2007 Report Posted May 10, 2007 i finally made an installer for DCME (latest version) (needed Visual Studio Installer anyway ). So if you got missing dependencies, the installer includes them all and registers them properly, it even makes a DCME shortcut in start menu can't upload attachments for some reason :s can someone attach it for me then oO" http://www.student.kuleuven.be/~s0158884/DCMEsetup.zip Quote
Samapico Posted May 10, 2007 Report Posted May 10, 2007 You have to open the topic first I think... That's probably the problem that, or you're out of space... which I have plenty EDIT: actually it's because the post is mine... we can't add attachments to someone else's posts... To change attachments in that topic, I had to make a post, merge them and make myself the owner of it I'll add it Quote
Samapico Posted May 10, 2007 Report Posted May 10, 2007 Hmm, some things to fix /add: -Installer should display the version during installation (filename should also include it)-Start menu shortcut isn't placed correctly (see attachment) Quote
»CypherJF Posted May 20, 2007 Report Posted May 20, 2007 I don't think the filename should include the version but the internal PXE data should (ie: hover over blah.exe and see version: #.# in the status bar). Maintaining shortcuts for executables which change name are a pain. Quote
Samapico Posted May 21, 2007 Report Posted May 21, 2007 ok... maybe not filename, but atleast when installing it, you'd have to know which version u're installing (maybe warn if an older version (or newer?!) is already installed... or is it doing it already? didn't play much with it) Quote
Drake7707 Posted May 21, 2007 Author Report Posted May 21, 2007 *shrug* this setup is mostly for the people that can't get DCME running because 1 or more components are missing or not correctly registered, and that is exactly what the setup does Quote
Samapico Posted July 9, 2007 Report Posted July 9, 2007 Do you still have that thing? Just had someone with that kind of problem... even though the components 'registered successfully' , he kept getting that error:http://s89.photobucket.com/albums/k201/cho...Systemerror.jpg (and yeah at first he was running it from the zip, but even after I told him not to, wouldn't work)So maybe that kind of installer would fix it for him... Smong Posted July 9, 2007 Report Posted July 9, 2007 Aww and to think I thought this meant a new version was out, it's just a bumped topic. Quote
Samapico Posted July 9, 2007 Report Posted July 9, 2007 ew, well the file is 4.5MB large... so... that's why you can't upload it here... i'll put it on dcme.sscentral.com Quote
