I'm an eternal nooB, after 10+ years am now trying to revise the current battledrome map that we use. I had some Map Editor SSME thing that allowed me to work on the map, but have never been able to test the map. Now, due to my nooBiness I have lost that map editor. Is there abetter one out there? One that would allow me to make/edit a map AND test it while doing so? All help is appreciated!

Samapico Posted April 29, 2007 Report Posted April 29, 2007 yeah, DCME allows you to test your map... You load .cfg settings, and get in a ship and fly around... Energy settings work too ; if you press Ctrl it will affect your energy just like you were shooting bullets, same for Tab for bombs and ... not sure about mines If you find any bug in DCME, refer to the forum and post there

Samapico Posted April 29, 2007 Report Posted April 29, 2007 If you really want to fully test your map and settings, you might need to setup a local zone... It's not too complicated, but you might need to check out the Server questions forum at forums.minegoboom.com if you want to do it.

He isn't a newbie that needs help! He's a supervillain who must be stopped, much like Lex Luther or the KingPin. He plans on taking over the world by means of awful map designs.

I have found the REAL forums for Subspace, finally! After all these years, finally a community for LOYAL subspace players... a place that 'feels' like home. Sanctuary. Ahhhh, alas. Ok, so I got the Editor, tried and tested my map and it rocks! Hopefully SSCX Chaos will give it a chance too. And if not... what other zone is closest to SSCX Chaos in gameplay? And to any of you who knew Jeff P & Blackie back in the day, if they were still 'here', what other games that are listed here be of interest to them? Your replies are appreciated.PeaceTRP
