James1293 Posted April 26, 2007 Report Posted April 26, 2007 (edited) How is raising the prices of guns and reactor plants (did you raise anything else?) supposed to help? -New players have trouble affording-Veterans have it from before higher price-if you reset, EVERYONE would be annoyed cause it would take so long to get the money. Ehhhh hope u dont hate me because i made this topic... just want to know if anyone is thinking like i am. Edited April 26, 2007 by James1293 Quote
Dr Brain Posted April 26, 2007 Report Posted April 26, 2007 The low level guns didn't change much, and in some cases, their exp requirements went down. I just brought their prices in line with their usefulness. Quote
11___________ Posted April 26, 2007 Report Posted April 26, 2007 MANNNN i want to try out hs, but i have soccer tryouts today, and have to finish homework, i dont want to work until 10:30 agian. Quote
*rc 1223* Posted April 28, 2007 Report Posted April 28, 2007 lol i like then lol sold my 2 moabs and got 120k ftw! Quote
11___________ Posted April 28, 2007 Report Posted April 28, 2007 (edited) I think a test zone would be more apropriate now since its going to take most people awhile to get a maxed ship. ALSO: Maybe make it so people cant kill in test zone, just only to test items. Edited April 29, 2007 by 11___________ Quote
Choose Profile Posted April 29, 2007 Report Posted April 29, 2007 (edited) why would you need a test zone though? use ?iteminfo to check out the weapons or item your thinking about buying, no testing needed. Edited April 29, 2007 by Choose Profile Quote
11___________ Posted April 29, 2007 Report Posted April 29, 2007 Would you buy a vehicle without testing it?Without seeing if it would benifeit you? Will this totally screw me up? What???I didnt want this!!!??? Quote
Deathmonger Posted April 29, 2007 Report Posted April 29, 2007 I'm not fond of the recent price inflation--all it does is reward the 'chinese gold farmers' instead of those with skill. Quote
Choose Profile Posted April 29, 2007 Report Posted April 29, 2007 death, no logic in that. If you have skill then you possess the ability to make money and afford those items. Also, if you have skill you posses the ability to outplay and defeat your opponents with higher priced weapons. 11_______, thus you can sell the item for a portion of your money back, ?iteminfo and talking to players with what you are considering buying is the only way to know what your buying. Setting up a test arena would take too much time and effort from staff, away from what really needs to be done: balancing hs. Quote
Suicide_Run Posted April 29, 2007 Report Posted April 29, 2007 I would want staff to make a test arena cause usually when you buy or test some stuff, you dont wanna just buy 1 item. Its usually you buy a few stuff and see if they go well w/ other items or such. Also, the selling price is always less than the buy price which might be good if you have enough money to buy and sell alot i guess. But I would rather have staff balance the item be4 making a test arena. Quote
Sharpflame Posted April 29, 2007 Report Posted April 29, 2007 Stop...complaining about items being too high...Just because you can't get it now doesen't mean you won't later, does it?All the less-useful items/newbie items are still really cheap (e.g. fusion reactor, harpy missile, pulse laser), work with the small items, and then go up. (That's the easiest solution besides someone giving you all the money you need, which isn't likely) Quote
Deathmonger Posted April 29, 2007 Report Posted April 29, 2007 If you have skill then you possess the ability to make money and afford those items. If you replaced the word 'skill' with 'time' I'd agree with that. It takes little skill to sit on a priv freq and wallbomb attacking newbs getting flanked in base 3. Quote
Sound Posted May 9, 2007 Report Posted May 9, 2007 Well there you go, money and exp earned doubled or more. There should be no problem with achieving the pricey items. Quote
