Audry Posted April 25, 2007 Report Posted April 25, 2007 D1, i highly doubt the conversation went this way. I was just crying cause you and i dunno who else were owning me in HS (yeah im bad in this zone ) Some MG player (i dont remember who, Jared maybe? or Pat? w/e) corrected you when you refered as me as a he, and then the arguement started between me and you, you asked for proof, i linked you to my photobucket, you cried for conspiracy, i went afk and recorded a little video for you. Too bad you dont believe me. This player actually defended me cause few peoples saw me on webcam, i have lots of pictures and i go on ventrilo talk with them sometimes. oh and last thing, i'm far from hitting on you... dont dream. Like i told you, believe me or not
Incomplete Posted April 25, 2007 Report Posted April 25, 2007 That's weird, your name reminds me of some !@#$%^&*hole who is a man. Must be a name similar to yours, maybe it was Audigy or something.
NBVegita Posted April 25, 2007 Report Posted April 25, 2007 A handful of people!? rofl. The only reason why there are more NFL players is because they have through a 3rd string, and play with 11 men on the field. in a ratio there are the same number of NBA players, as they only have a 5 man court, as there are NFL players. As for repition, what do you think shooting the ball is? Its no different than throwing the p!@#$%^&* to the wide receiver, you shoot the ball at the hoop repeatedly until you get good at it. In football, as in basketball, someone is actively trying to stop you from throwing the ball, except it can be touched on the way down And because football is more physical there are actually many more penalties you can get in football, but none of them are because of a slap. I played both sports in highschool. Basketball doesn't take more skill than football, it just takes more finesse, that is unless you talk to Barry Sanders. And football requires more teamwork than basketball.
NBVegita Posted April 25, 2007 Report Posted April 25, 2007 that's a stereotype. and no, making it into the NBA doesn't qualify as good because very few NBA players rise to the top.wanna be a good football player? get yourself big and strong. As I've been both, its much easier to be the starting point guard than it is to be the starting corner back. You have no idea what you are talking about. There is a reason why NFL players don't come straight out of HS, and its not just because of size.
Gravitron Posted April 25, 2007 Report Posted April 25, 2007 Audry, care to record a video with a placard saying "Standard VIE Settings 4 Life!"?

And football requires more teamwork than basketball. so...you're telling me that it's the same level of difficulty to throw an open p!@#$%^&* as the quarterback...who usually do have about 5-10 seconds before the other team comes swarming in...COMPARED to basketball...where a defender is constantly up on you, within inches of you, AND they got their hand up in your face. not to mention, if you're a smaller player, you have to shoot over taller players as well. i've been a basketball player my whole life, so i know how hard it is...mind you, a lot of basketball players are football players as well and very good ones. BUT football players can never play basketball. that's a stereotype. and no, making it into the NBA doesn't qualify as good because very few NBA players rise to the top.wanna be a good football player? get yourself big and strong. jacob hunter! Posted April 25, 2007 Report Posted April 25, 2007 LOL I love ss community with all my heart. Ohh god LOL at gravi making that post about distort LMAO !@#$%^&*a funny!!! AND losa what girl what girl. Bring it step up, what you got? Ohh and .?squadowner losa $$$ for real. It's a shame that criz owns all you other people but owell.,
NBVegita Posted April 25, 2007 Report Posted April 25, 2007 lol 5-10 seconds? If you have 5 to 10 seconds to throw a p!@#$%^&* as a quarterback you have the best offensive line the NFL has ever seen. And the entire time you're contained to a small area where you have 3-7 300lb 6'3-6'7 men trying to swat you and your p!@#$%^&* to the ground. Plus mind you, you have a helmet on so you have a limited view of the field. A tall QB is 6-6'2. Really tall is 6'3-6'5. So you are throwing over men taller than you. Plus in those seconds as the ball snaps you have to read the defence, watch if the safeties are on their toes or their heels, figure out if the linebackers are blitzing, droping into a zone or runing a man formation, if your reciever is open, if the safty or linebackers aren't lending him help, how many yards you need, is the reciever far enough, is the corner on the left blitzing, where is the defensive line, did your RB pick up that safety blitz, remember where all of your recievers, TE and RB included are going and throw an accurate pass And thats just a nuts!@#$%^&*. The quarter back doesn't get to take the ball to the top of the key and survey the court. How many "star" cornerbacks are there in the NFL? How many "star" widerecievers are there? How many "star" running backs? Football not only takes a lot of skill, but it takes a lot more athleticism than basketball. NBA players are too frail for football. The first time Carmello Anthony got hit by a 5'10" 220lb corner who has spent his whole life learning how to hit people as hard as he can, his entire athletic career would be over. And those basketball players think they're fast and agile...just wait until they have to put on all those pads. Then you find you just how "fast and agile" you really are.
»D1st0rt Posted April 25, 2007 Report Posted April 25, 2007 this thread is highly entertaining e-females want so desperately to be accepted, its hilarious also, NB is 100% correct about football, just playing madden well against someone who knows what they're doing is hard enough without adding any of the physical aspect
NBVegita Posted April 25, 2007 Report Posted April 25, 2007 (edited) Well I'm using not only knowledge you learn about each sport through many resources, but the fact that I played both sports for a division AA highschool. Edited April 25, 2007 by NBVegita

Shock Posted April 25, 2007 Report Posted April 25, 2007 BUT football players can never play basketball. Antonio Gates used to play basketball.
jacob hunter! Posted April 25, 2007 Report Posted April 25, 2007 Where is losa I want her to respond to my post up above!
Chambahs Posted April 25, 2007 Report Posted April 25, 2007 Ive been at this with LOSA for years, thank you veggy, i love you. She thinks just because her idol, Allen Iverson, was good at both basketball and football, that everyone is. Sure, he was good in college, but college aint got !@#$%^&* on pro football. College guys are - 6'0-6'3, 220-270lbs. Pro guys - 6'0-6'6, 250-350lbs. Its a big difference, as well as everyone is more experienced and actually spend all the !@#$%^&* time training. College players dont train all the time like pros do, they have to do homework and !@#$%^&*. Ive never had the patience to sit there and explain all that !@#$%^&*, but be warned, she wont stop !@#$%^&*uming she is right until you quit, or one of you dies, no matter how many facts you throw in her face. So, if she continues, you can just let it go, she wont stop, everyone here knows your right, and everyone is already annoyed of her in the forums i see. Imagine 3 years worth of it.

ESCANDAL0SA Posted April 25, 2007 Report Posted April 25, 2007 Football not only takes a lot of skill, but it takes a lot more athleticism than basketball. lol...since when does football take more skill AND athleticism? the average person playing in a football game with his friends, would most likely be able to do all the required things. run, throw, etc. they may not be the best at it but they can do it. but an average person playing football? dribbling the ball, which requires coordination because you gotta keep your eyes up, and actually be able to handle the ball, and that alone takes a lot of skill. then on top of that, you gotta be able to jump in in fade-away positions to get your shot off with a defender up on your face and be able to hit that shot. and you're telling me that it doesn't take more skill? basketball is repi!@#$%^&*ion, but not in the sense that each and every time, it's the same thing. every single shot is different. it could be a fade-away, a leaner, hook shot, etc. i never said that it doesn't require skill to play football. all i said was that it requires less than basketball. apart from the throwing, there aren't any other skills that require you to have extensive training in order to completely dominate the game.

Imagine 3 years worth of it. i think it's funny that you wanna sit here and tell me about my fav. basketball player who i've followed for years. don't for one second think that iverson wouldn't have been in the NFL had he not had his scholarship taken away. obviously if he made it, he would spend "all the !@#$%^&* time training", uhhh duurrrr? lmaoooooo come at me with something better, "she wont stop !@#$%^&*uming she is right"...when did i assume that i was right? IT'S A !@#$%^&*ING OPINION, OBVIOUSLY IT'S ONE-SIDED, but of course, you don't even know what the word opinions means. this is not a persuasion, i don't think he came in here with the main goal to change my opinion, he came in here to voice his opinion and let me know his side. it doesn't matter if he throws facts at me because we've both thrown valid points at each other. i accepted his point of view and i continue to voice mine. i accepted that he made some valid points. any ignorant mother!@#$%^&*er who says that i'm close minded...seriously...you need to go back to school. being close-minded would be the right thing to say if i sat here and said YOU'RE !@#$%^&*ING STUPID BECAUSE YOUR OPINION SUCKS. that's not what i did, i took my opinion and i ran with it, you stated yours and i stated mine. imagine 3 years with somebody who only cared about their ego & doesn't give a !@#$%^&* about other people's feelings. imagine being kicked to the bottom & spit on by somebody who threw out the word love like it was nothing.
ESCANDAL0SA Posted April 25, 2007 Report Posted April 25, 2007 ^_^ chambahs told me about this just recently on msn, and id seen small fragments of proof of this from the few times ive conversed with losa in-game (btw, she does play, but usually she just balls by herself when nobody is around and shes bored). but this entire topic proves that shes just closed-minded. and i say this because of 1 simple fact: she feels the need to disprove everyone elses opinions if they do not match her own. now, ill give her this much, shes not dumb. IF shes faking being intellectual, she does a good job of it. i just hope that i will have the honor of being told im wrong now by her. oh wow, balling by myself is really playing. when have i ever participated in a full-blown game? this topic doesn't mean that i'm close-minded. do you people seriously have trouble understanding that word? voicing your opinion is not close-minded. i made valid points about the original topic and i accepted the other side's point of view. i said, what they're arguing is understandable, but look at the other side as well. now, tell me who's close-minded. they failed to look at my side, yet it's me who's close-minded? lol. you people are funny. i know i'm not dumb. that's a funny thing to say because you act as if i pull !@#$%^&* outta my !@#$%^&*. my opinions are based on experiences, observations, material that i've learned from school, etc. so, when i have an opinion that you don't entirely agree with it doesn't make me close-minded. people think differently, people have their reasons, did you ever think of that? obviously not. Point proven. lol@you acting like you're all smart and !@#$%^&*. point proven what? that i'm a blunt person and i voice my opinion regardless of what others say? that i have enough confidence and knowledge to stick to my own opinion. never once have i not accepted his opinion.
Chambahs Posted April 25, 2007 Report Posted April 25, 2007 Well anyway, we arent talking about the skill of playing with your friends, we are talking about the skill it takes for professionals. Big deal, shoot a fadeaway with a defender in the way. How about the running aspect? Basketball players run back and forth the court all the time, sure. But, guess what football players do? Especially cornerbacks and wide recievers. They SPRINT, cut, be aware of their surroundings, and do everything else there is to do, which sometimes includes sprinting 40-50 yards EVERY PLAY. Also, they are not nearly garenteed the ball every play. After they run 40-50 yards, guess what they have to do? Run all the way back to the huddle, figure out the play, remember what to do, (out of the 100 plays they have) and then get back on the line to do it all over again. And please, lets not get into no-huddle situations. Hectic? More like !@#$%^&*. Jen, the problem with you, is that you know everything there is to know about basketball, sure, ill give you that. But you know nothing of football, you and I both know this. You dont even know how to play football. Dont deny it. You dont know what cornerbacks, safteys, offensive/defensive lines, tight ends, middle/left/right linebackers....just everything, you dont know who does what, and who goes where and what extent of physical endurance they have to go through. Think about it, after running all those yards, with about 50 pounds of extra weight (pads), they get SMASHED by 300lb big !@#$%^&* guys, and they get hit HARD. You know what they do? Get back up and do it all over again. NBA players dont break backs, arms, legs, necks, and !@#$%^&* like that. I garentee that more players in the NFL have gotten serious injuries in 1 month, than basketball does in a season. Back to my point, basketball, sure, it takes skill and perfect timing, and strategy. But lemme see one of those ASSS get hit once by a linebacker. I bet they would be out for the season. Come on now, they complain when they get touched "HE TOUCHED ME REF, THATS A FOUL" !@#$%^&*ing waa waa waa. But, then again, im sure you will -try- to prove me wrong anyway. If its not your opinion, its not right. Sorry, i forget these things.
ESCANDAL0SA Posted April 25, 2007 Report Posted April 25, 2007 Well I'm using not only knowledge you learn about each sport through many resources, but the fact that I played both sports for a division AA highschool. i've played highschool basketball too. i've played football once in a while. i don't just learn about basketball through resources. i can tell you right now that it was a lot easier for me to participate in a game of football, even though my skills in that game suck...than it was for me to actually play basketball. when i first started with basketball, i couldn't do a thing. i'd lose the ball every 3 seconds, it would bounce off my feet, i couldn't get my shot up, etc. it tooks years and playing everyday for me to actually get better and be able to do the basic things.
MikeTheNose Posted April 25, 2007 Report Posted April 25, 2007 LOSA is not close-minded, just highly opinionated.
