»Maverick Posted April 23, 2007 Report Posted April 23, 2007 why the feck is that single video card not supported? =/
jacob hunter! Posted April 23, 2007 Report Posted April 23, 2007 Thats what windows vista and windows vista games are for $$$
Shlazzer Posted April 23, 2007 Report Posted April 23, 2007 SURPREME COMMANDER > ALL. That game is !@#$%^&*ing amazing.
Telson Posted April 23, 2007 Report Posted April 23, 2007 C&C 3 is awesome. A friend of mine has it on his laptop and it plays beatifully. why did u buy if u card didnt support it? read the specs before u buy PC games u newb.
L.C. Posted April 23, 2007 Report Posted April 23, 2007 I used to have exactly the same card you have, and I will tell you that your 3D Gaming life will be crap if you do not upgrade to something with atleast DirectX 8.1 support. The reason it does not work or is not supported is because your card is a DirectX 7 card (which to mention, all nVidia MX cards are DirectX 7 cards only). Go buy a card that has DirectX 8.1+ compatibility (I would recommend either the Radeon 9800, GeForce 6600 to 6800, or one of the high numbered Radeon X cards; look on newegg.com, you will find some good ones for cheap).
Samapico Posted April 23, 2007 Report Posted April 23, 2007 why did u buy if u card didnt support it? read the specs before u buy PC games u newb. These detailed specs are usually just in the readme.txt though... so you only know after you buy it
»D1st0rt Posted April 23, 2007 Report Posted April 23, 2007 They're usually in a little square on the side of the box
Samapico Posted April 23, 2007 Report Posted April 23, 2007 But the non-supported cards are like some 'known bugs' , they don't want to show that too much... I doubt it is always there. If it's not you could just bring the game back and get a refund.
Incomplete Posted April 24, 2007 Report Posted April 24, 2007 Alot of places around here dont allow refunds for PC games because everyone buys a game, copies it and send it back.
Smong Posted April 24, 2007 Report Posted April 24, 2007 Supposedly if the box has been opened... but if you just ask them nicely I'm sure they'll take it back.
»Admiral Kirk Posted April 24, 2007 Report Posted April 24, 2007 SupCom is cool, played that for awhile, but honestly, I think I like CNC3 better. Its realy hard to turtle or even get into the late game with SupCom, cause of the nukes and long range artilery (wtf is up with the Mavor, that thing is a game ender). Anyway, they just released the map editor for cnc3, and although it totaly sucks !@#$%^&*, im sure a few brave souls will put up with its bugy resource hogging ways and make a map or two for cnc3 and mabye once EA releases a patch that fixes the map transfer bugs, itll be worth playing online Oh ya, get a new video card!!! You can freakin get a 7xxx series card for as little as 99$!! thats DX9c compliant!! for like 150$ you can get one of the JUST released low end 8xxx series that are DX10 compliant! Go mow some lawns or something
Incomplete Posted April 24, 2007 Report Posted April 24, 2007 Going to need to update your PC to play Crysis anyway
Drake7707 Posted April 24, 2007 Report Posted April 24, 2007 c&c3 is like red alert, more classic approach to rts, while supreme commander is a different style. Both are good (sup com is a bit lengthy if you don't rush). 2 vs 6 Brutals random turtles with 0% handicap = instant death >.>
PoLiX Posted April 24, 2007 Report Posted April 24, 2007 Should of hit me up when I was selling my 256mb 9550se. Let it go for like $30 and was pretty much brand new. Had cd, cables, box, and all.
rootbear75 Posted April 25, 2007 Author Report Posted April 25, 2007 C&C 3 is awesome. A friend of mine has it on his laptop and it plays beatifully. why did u buy if u card didnt support it? read the specs before u buy PC games u newb.it was actually on the little stickers that sit across the opening that you have to tear off before opening it.YOu know, the "Security device enclosed sticker" on the top? And i thought i had GeFore4 ,NOT MX Should of hit me up when I was selling my 256mb 9550se. Let it go for like $30 and was pretty much brand new. Chambahs Posted April 25, 2007 Report Posted April 25, 2007 Polix, let me know when you get rid of something else. Im using 64mb integrated! Lol, and everyone knows that ANYTHING is better than integrated. I just need some ram and a new video card and my computer should be good to go. First i need to find the money for it lol.
»Admiral Kirk Posted April 25, 2007 Report Posted April 25, 2007 lol, n00bs and here im sittin thining its about time to upgrade my 6800GT 256mb cause its gettin a little old and cant play games at 1024 with 8x AA and all that good stuff anymore. look at those shiny new 8800GTs $$
Gravitron Posted April 25, 2007 Report Posted April 25, 2007 Your problem is that it is MX.MX is not a real graphics card.Get one of the new GT series, and up your entire computer to the new serial ATA while at it.Eitherway, good luck. And yeah, nothing supports MX if it was made after Y2K.
rootbear75 Posted April 29, 2007 Author Report Posted April 29, 2007 Kirk, gimme your hand-me-downs? lolhey hey hey... im in line first
CreatiX Posted April 29, 2007 Report Posted April 29, 2007 works well for me and surely is pure eye candy *amazed*
Testtube Posted April 29, 2007 Report Posted April 29, 2007 The game runs very smooth on my windows vista machine. I was very surprised on how back to basics they made the game. And further surprised on how they took it to another level at the same time. The game overall seems very fluid great graphics but not overkill a very well rounded game. I wouldnt mind joining up with somone hear and tag teaming the computer
Manus Celer Dei Posted April 30, 2007 Report Posted April 30, 2007 Anyone actually get a chance to play it?i bought it this weekend but unfortunately, i have the ONE video card that is not supported ..... WHY ME?! EDIT: can anyone sell me one of the above video cards? IIRC it is because the GeForce4 MX cards lacked hardware transform & lighting. A fair number of games of the recent past have been unable to run on these cards for that reason despite being able to run on the GeForce3 Ti series, which has said features.
Incomplete Posted April 30, 2007 Report Posted April 30, 2007 I downloaded the demo on the xbox 360, I like it, i'll buy it when it comes out.
