Dav Posted April 22, 2007 Report Posted April 22, 2007 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sdjt6Bl5qdY...nk%5Fid%3D23026 Edit by Smong: Video contains large amounts of blood and gore (aka not as funny as the !@#$%^&*le suggests).
Gravitron Posted April 22, 2007 Report Posted April 22, 2007 Yeah, we have fork lift trucks drivers here.A. It's !@#$%^&*ing ez as !@#$%^&* to get this license, you only need to have a valid regular driving license and take a couple days course and there you go.B. Yep, they DO perform out-of-regulations crap and people sometimes do get hurt and what not...Duke Nukem> !@#$%^&* Happens (guy getting skewed on the fork-tooth? Yeah, it happened in one of the branches, we've gotten pictures on corporate email cycle, not pretty).C. It's actually more safe if you stand on the fork's fork-teeth instead of a friggin panel; I (would/should) know, I've been lifted like that several times myself (don't tell the security inspectors...), still I wouldn't recommend doing it at all -- stay on ground, or far away from the forklift at that where it's at least somewhat safer.
Steigerwald Posted April 22, 2007 Report Posted April 22, 2007 driving forklift isnt as complicated as it seems. im have a certificaion from my old job and i was self taught. their are always accidents because loaders !@#$%^&* !@#$%^&* up. i wish they showed this video though during the certification process instead of the boring one i watched.
PoLiX Posted April 22, 2007 Report Posted April 22, 2007 After 4 or 5yrs, they decided we all had to be certified to run the lift, forklift, powerjack, and wave (small very maneuverable lift). We're suppose to read this form, watch a video, and sign !@#$%^&*, and then get a signed card. My manager signed my card, and said here ya go. 2 months later, they didn't certify any of the new guys, and haven't ever since... We know what we're doing, why do we need to be certified. If you suck at it, we tell you to get out of the way.
Gravitron Posted April 22, 2007 Report Posted April 22, 2007 ROFL.I operate the powerjack as well as the lift and I ain't certified for jack !@#$%^&*.Basically, the dude responsible for security gave me a little pumplet to read, said watch yo !@#$%^&* and that insurance doesn't cover me so if I !@#$%^&* up myself or anyone it's my !@#$%^&* on the line and I signed a weaver and that was it. Why do I keep saying security? I mean !@#$%^&*ing safety.
CreatiX Posted April 22, 2007 Report Posted April 22, 2007 it sure stinks if you dont understand german
PoLiX Posted April 23, 2007 Report Posted April 23, 2007 What is even more funny, is buddy of mine in the navy says his shore duty job used this instruction video for their forklift certs, haha.
