Okay I've been getting ahead of myself with this whole project. Here is the current status.

 

I have designed the visual theme for the zone, you can check that out on SSM SSDev (!@#$%^&*S) in ?go battlezone. It's just the tileset we will be using.

Yavaris had designed a wonderful layout that matched my vision of the base I want, unfortunately not for battlezone, but for S!@#$%^&*.

However, I made modifications to that layout to express what I would like to see in a new layout, specifically for battlezone, which can be found on SSM SSDev (subgame) in ?go yavaris

 

The idea is a turf zone, much like deathstar battle, including about 20 flags throughout this kind of base (?go yavaris).

 

Yavaris has agreed to redesign another layout like the one he made for S!@#$%^&*, when he has the time.

 

For now I have a map displaying the tileset I will use, unfinished i must add.

 

One main thing that needs to be done is to get the ?buy and ?money tracking modules released by Dr. Brain working in ?go battlezone. I have no clue how to do this, as my compiles failed many times, and once my compile actually produced a .dll the server crashes at startup.

 

So I'm waiting on yavaris, or anyone else who thinks they can come up with some clever base as described.

 

As I don't know too many people who could get the ?money and ?buy modules working, I called upon Smong, who should be able to do this.

 

Once these requirements are met, I can focus on all the extra ideas that I got ahead of myself with in the previous post.

Do you still want that own X percent of turf flags for Y minutes thing? I'm not sure if you edited that out or if it's in another thread.

 

Yes I do, can you made that mod? I just need it configurable, so i can define FlagOwnPercent and FlagOwnTime. And possibly, in the near future some FlagOwnEvents, so things happen when a team holds so many flags for so long, such as portal opening, balls appearing, wormholes activated, doors closing/opening ect.

 

 

 

 

Yav: That's not what I'm looking for, but it's a good elim map to add to the Dump forum that doesn't exist (yet). I'm looking for a less-symetrical and more geometrical if you know what i mean? Also, theres no individual rooms, with bomb-lines, and awesome offense and defense design.

Could be a problem with the mysql connection timing out, but then again HS is using a custom mysql module so they may have added code to make it automatically reconnect (unlikely though, since they would have merged that fix into the default mysql module). It probably doesn't happen to HS because they have a steady pop so the connection is always busy. Or it could be something else...
