I am not from USA, but from what i know guns are legal to have cause the Cons!@#$%^&*ution of USA says it, i dont say it is wrong, maybe it was good to have guns when they made that law back then, but now i think they should modifiy it.

problem in the UK is the black market. There are people that smuggle them in ans others that use a loophole in the law (sort of)

In the UK replica guns are legal but people convert these to real guns quite easily allowing a large number of undetected firearms to enter the population.

I wish all guns could be destroyed and the plans for making them.

Along with nukes tanks and any other armored things with weapons.

And the plans along with them.

in other words, your asking for a world without violence

If guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns

mostly true but not all outlaws would have guns. Most would actually not be able to get hold of guns of they were illegal.

Lol sama. I'm glad we have nukes only for the reason that if a meteor was heading this way we stand a very slim chance of blowing it up blum.gif

I live in the UK and theres an International Firearms store that sells real guns up the road to me.

does sound like he had many many issues, defiantly was a matter of time with him if it was left untreated as it was.

You would think with this much known something could have been done.

there are probably millions of people like him, and for authorities to take him away for permanent help, not only does he need to be a threat to himself, he has to be a threat to others. this is where the problem lies with treatment/help for mentally troubled people...unless they threaten someone's life, they won't get put in a mental ins!@#$%^&*ution. chances are, they aren't going to seek help by themselves and the majority of these people don't listen to their family members. i was watching CNN, and this man's son, who was schitzophrenic, needed help but the only way he could get it was if he was arrested for something. so, his father lied to cops and told them that his son threatened his life with bodily harm, and only then did he get taken away and put in a treatment center.

As I understand it, having mental illness in the family is a huge dishonor in Korea so you can imagine why his family might have been reluctant to get him checked out if they were aware.

True but it is more frowned upon in some cultures.

And D1 yes it will be a big business but it will still get guns away from many outlaws.

Then again thinking about it there are so many guns in the US it will initially be like you suggest and take a long time to get guns out of circulation enough to make it effective, i'm just basing my argument on the UK gun laws.
