nahtaiveL gniK Posted April 21, 2007 Report Posted April 21, 2007 There is some inconsiderate !@#$%^&*!@#$%^&* who has the name Seung-Hui, Cho. He was on Alpha West and I understand that it is lax there on language, is there anything that can be done about that? Demented !@#$%^&*heads.
Emblazon Posted April 21, 2007 Report Posted April 21, 2007 (edited) first off, keep in mind that this post in no way advocates this type of action. the problem with rules against this type of action is that there is no definite line to draw. one thing thats considered offensive in one person's view may not be in another's. albeit, this is a bit more extreme than someone who hates blacks, for example. fact of the matter is tho, if something is done about one particular type of prejudice, then anyone who has even the slightest problem with someone is going to report it and throw a huge fit. whatever happened to 'stick and stones'? another problem is that, for the most part, these types of people have the right to do this kind of thing. do we ban anyone who makes fun of some kid of japanese descent for what happened in hiroshima? what about chernobyl? columbine? wtc? tuskegee? you can't draw a line that suits everyone. Confess Posted April 21, 2007 Report Posted April 21, 2007 Dont give this !@#$%^&*hole the attention he wants. Instead, look at those that died. The shooter wanted his '10 seconds of fame', and look what he did. Remembering this guy, even speaking his name, gratifies him in some sick sort of way. I betcha that this kid was sick. Not just mentally, but physcially. He probably suffered from something that would cause his thinking to uncap (which includes tumors, diseases, epilepsy, etc). And infact, I do believe that someone said he had a tumor on his brain that affected the judgement. But he STILL chose to do what he did, so DONT gratify him. DONT remember him, remember what happened, remember how it could have been prevented, but DONT remember him. Dont kid or joke about this, especially right now. People, realise, this is our world that has decayed and become wrotten and spoiled. We must make a change for the better, or risk everything that our forefathers have worked so hard for. This starts in your homes, guys. This starts with the children we raise, the children we influence. If we dont raise our children right, if we dont tell our kids 'no', if we dont spank our children, we will fall, but not by terriost, by the decaying of our moral standards. There have been several attempts to top the VT Shootings. There will be more. Just a few days ago, a plot was spoiled in my very own home town, just 5 miles down my street...A highschool kid said that he could kill 'more then 32 people'. On top of that hitlist, was a boy that I know. In i believe NC, a plot was spoiled of a man that was going to kill 100 people. Also in my home town, a man went and shot people in the parking lot of a school, then went to a gas station..16 years old, after the police arrive, shot himself. Today, a guy in NASA shot some people in the building. The line wont stop here. This fool has caused trouble. Everyone wants there 10 seconds of fame now, and they arent going to get it (hopefully).
Samapico Posted April 21, 2007 Report Posted April 21, 2007 yeah everytime something like that happens, lots of people see it as a 'high score' and try to beat it... In the shooting of Dawson College, this fall, the guy killed only one girl, but injured like 15... And there were a couple kids in the following days that said stuff like 'Pfft, only one... I'll do better than that'
Chambahs Posted April 22, 2007 Report Posted April 22, 2007 Actually, truth be told, I was thinking that 33 dead was newbish. He went on a shooting spree at a college, I could pwn that score.
ESCANDAL0SA Posted April 22, 2007 Report Posted April 22, 2007 (edited) From what I heard, my girlfriend has a friend that has friends that go to Virginia Tech. And one of her friends was friends (too many !@#$%^&*ing friends) with the asian's girlfriend. I guess she cheated on him with another guy so he went to the dorms to shoot her and then went to the Engineering classes (the course she or the guy she !@#$%^&*ed was taking) and just started killing people because he wasn't sure which guy it was. Of course this could all be bull!@#$%^&*, but this is what I hear. welll...they did say the guy was a loner and had NO friends BUT he did have an imaginary girlfriend.from what they know so far, the first 2 victims weren't connected to him in anyway on a personal level. lol @ the people who can't follow and read the news properly. How did an asian immigrant student get two powerful handguns? I'd like to see him try and take down 32 people with a knife... without one of the students or teachers disarming him and kicking his !@#$%^&*. i just noticed this today, people keep referring to him as the "asian immigrant student who killed 34 people". what does being asian have anything to do with what he did? lol. what if he was white, black, indian, etc...does it really matter? i bet people are gonna start pointing fingers at koreans now and make stupid remarks. I believe the media has found a solution, ban guns in all of US, change the cons!@#$%^&*ution, now the world is saved! the whole point of banning guns isn't to "save" the world. the point is to lower gun crimes. if you look around the world at countries with strict gun laws, there are lower crimes. part of why things like this keep happening is because it's so easy to get guns in America. Um, well if you look at the date i made that post, you might realise that i didn't even know he was a long-term resident in the States at the time. ...and for your information, it doesn't matter if he was indian, black, white or eskimoish, i was only referring to what i thought his residential status was. If he was Norwegian i would have said the same thing. Anyway, freedom of speech is important. If you don't want to hear or see some idiot using the name of the gunman in subspace, then ignore it. Your outrage is your way of aligning yourself with what you think is morally acceptable. There's no real reason to be angry with the person for being an idiot. Do you think that by getting the person banned you'd be shielding people from the pain of seeing this idiot in action? Edited April 22, 2007 by SeVeR

If he was Norwegian i would have said the same thing. even if you didn't know that he was a long time resident in the States, you still singled out his race. even now when people do know that he was a student at V. Tech, and that he's been living in the States for along time, people still refer to him as "the asian madman". i'm just pointing that out.
SeVeR Posted April 22, 2007 Report Posted April 22, 2007 (edited) Jack the Ripper was the BRITISH madman. Klebold and Harris were the WHITE columbine killers. Al-Qaeda were the 9/11 MUSLIM m!@#$%^&*-murdering suicide terrorists, and i'm a WHITE man who is tired of mere observations about physical appearance, with no hostile feelings attached, being interpreted as racial disdain. So ok fine, i'm a big bad white racist! Happy now? Go police some other forum for the morally delinquent. This is the politically correct world we live in.... and you can !@#$%^&*ing have it. ESCANDAL0SA Posted April 22, 2007 Report Posted April 22, 2007 lmaoooooooo...don't get your panties in a bunch. all i did was point out the labels that are given to these killers, even though it's irrelevant to the actual incidents.
SeVeR Posted April 23, 2007 Report Posted April 23, 2007 (edited) So you're "pointing out" that the labels are irrelevent, and don't actually have a problem with people who use them? If that's the case, then your comments are simply a criticism of the level of detail used to describe these madmen. What a pointless contribution you've made. Panties untwisted. In my opinion, race is very relevent, and to ignore race would be ignoring the effect of cultural differences. The alienation that one may feel from being an asian living in America is very relevent to this killers psyche. But feel free to ignore that, along with every other identifying trait of this killer, you'd make a great cop lol. Edited April 23, 2007 by SeVeR

Tech. is it necessary to list his race as well? and thanks, i know i'd make a great cop.

Here's my solution:What if EVERYONE had a gun?Criminals wouldn't shoot you cause they wouldn't know if you could draw your gun faster than them. Canada ... we have strict gun laws. Toronto in a year has an average of only 40-50 deaths related to gun crimes.
rootbear75 Posted April 23, 2007 Report Posted April 23, 2007 well its cause in DC, where no one is allowed to have a gun, its a lot higher than the surrounding areas, where gun laws are slightly less strict
Samapico Posted April 23, 2007 Report Posted April 23, 2007 Canada ... we have strict gun laws.True... but the weapon registering thing sucks badly and needs to be redone. Most criminals get their guns illegally anywaywhat would stricter gun laws do? They would mainly prevent innocent people from getting a gun. These things happen a lot more than you seem to think... I have no official statistics on this, but even if it would just prevent 1 death, it would be worth it. There are also a lot of accidents involving children 'playing' with daddy's gun and end up shooting themselves or something... These events aren't counted in these 'Gun-related crimes' statistics... Yes I know that's the parent's responsability to not let the weapon anywhere a child could go... but alot just hide it in some desk or something... even if it's locked... one could forget to lock it back after use. I don't think people are responsible enough to have the right to carry a deadly weapon... For self-defense, they should only let some airsoft-like or anti-riot weapons... anything non-deadly that could still knock out the bad guy. Or paralyzing darts
Chambahs Posted April 23, 2007 Report Posted April 23, 2007 Tasers FTW, a friend of mine baught one, and turned it on, i think id rather get shot, honestly. I think it was like an 1000 watt one, the !@#$%^&* sounds/looks brutal.
ESCANDAL0SA Posted April 24, 2007 Report Posted April 24, 2007 well its cause in DC, where no one is allowed to have a gun, its a lot higher than the surrounding areas, where gun laws are slightly less strict strict gun laws are good, what i meant by strict gun laws was that it's harder to get a hold of a gun and requires a lot more background checks. but not to the point where guns are banned all together. there has to be a balance.
jacob hunter! Posted April 24, 2007 Report Posted April 24, 2007 Well anyways, I would rather die fast and painless then be tortured by a taser!!!!!
BoogaBooga Posted April 25, 2007 Report Posted April 25, 2007 creepy thing is.. all of what he did probably seemed like the right thing to to him. I mean.. every one has friends that they probably take for granted.. what if you didnt..? After a while.. after seeing everyone socializing with people and hanging out with friends day after day, do you think you would be able to live with yourself? What are you gonna do.. I am not saying what he did was right in any way.. but he probably had his reasons. After a long time of being depressed or whatever, you dont want help or want to fix things, you just want everything to be over with.. Sometimes, people might have absolutely no reason or desire to live..

Incomplete Posted May 1, 2007 Report Posted May 1, 2007 I know im bumping this but here's 5 need-to-know nuggets about the madness of the virginia killer. 1. Cho Seung-Hui bought 37 rubber ducks last year. It's not known what he used them for. 2. He had "selective mutism" as a child. He chose not to speak - a rare disorder linked to phychosis later in life. 3. His nicknames included "Kid Question Mark", as he often signed his name with a single punctuation mark, and "Trombone Kid", as he often carried his musical instrument. 4. He lied about majoring in business (he studied English) and having a supermodel girlfriend called jelly, who knew him as spanky. 5. He was known for always wearing sungl!@#$%^&*es indoors, sleeping with the light on, taking photos of girls legs under desks and writing violent poetry.
Dav Posted May 1, 2007 Report Posted May 1, 2007 does sound like he had many many issues, defiantly was a matter of time with him if it was left untreated as it was.You would think with this much known something could have been done.
