I was trying to set up a new profile name and before I realized the difference between "profile name" and "player name" it said "I tried to log in with the wrong password too many times" and to "wait a few hours."

1) cansomeone lift this wait, Im trying to play my friend before he moves away.

2) some clarification on the profile menu might be cool.

3) how long is this "few hours" ? is this thing gonna reset to a few more hours if I try again like 2 minutes before it would have re-opened availablity again? Curious.

That is really pointless, it might only give you a new LAN IP, not a new WAN IP (Internet IP) if you have a router. If you have a modem this might work to give you a new IP but only if you have gotten a dynamic IP from your ISP.

Also with unplugging your router you usually get the same IP again, you need to manually release the IP inside your router's setup instead.
