BlueWyvern Posted April 12, 2007 Report Posted April 12, 2007 A great idea (in my opinion) is rename the Sensors section to "Electronics" or "Systems".Add new items like Quantum Computers or Superconductors. Each giving some sort of boost. It would diversify the sensors section and give players more options and incentive to purchase a sensor pod. Quote
Dr Brain Posted April 13, 2007 Report Posted April 13, 2007 What kind of boost were you suggesting? Speed and thrust don't make much sense in this case. Quote
BlueWyvern Posted April 13, 2007 Author Report Posted April 13, 2007 Super Conductors +1 energyRepair Nanotechnology +1 rechargeQuantum Computer +1-5% faster fire rate?Absorption Panels +5-10% gun absorb, -1 or 2 rechargeSolar Panels +1 recharge, -1 energy Quote
»D1st0rt Posted April 13, 2007 Report Posted April 13, 2007 Solar Panels make more sense as armor Quote
Suicide_Run Posted April 13, 2007 Report Posted April 13, 2007 Same with absorption panel. Reactor plants should be only giving +/- to energy and recharge while computers gives +/- to rotation cause then you can say better computers = better connections from ship master to engine room...>.> Quote
Deathmonger Posted April 14, 2007 Report Posted April 14, 2007 I'd like to see the following: - Flag sensor - shows neuted flags on minimap- Flag carrier sensor - shows red on minimap- Ship readout sensor - ?shipstatus to show another player's shipstatus- Ship locator sensor - ?locate gives coordinates. No need to spechunt. It'd be interesting if some of these were exclusive to the shark. Quote
Evil Doom Posted April 14, 2007 Report Posted April 14, 2007 - Flag sensor - shows neuted flags on minimapNot going to happen, was suggested in the past, and it's lame... if u want the flag u go find em - Flag carrier sensor - shows red on minimapisn't it already red on minimap if some1 holds flags... idea makes no sense - Ship readout sensor - ?shipstatus to show another player's shipstatusgood idea was already suggested in Dr. Brains Blog - Ship locator sensor - ?locate gives coordinates. No need to spechunt. also a good idea i think Quote
Dr Brain Posted April 15, 2007 Report Posted April 15, 2007 Flag sensor - shows neuted flags on minimapFlag carrier sensor - shows red on minimapIt's not possible to do this. Ship readout sensor - ?shipstatus to show another player's shipstatus If they want to keep it private, then I'm not going to stop them. Ship locator sensor - ?locate gives coordinates. No need to spechunt. That's kinda lame, I must admit. Quote
Evil Doom Posted April 15, 2007 Report Posted April 15, 2007 (edited) doc for the shipstatus command i think he meant show that player your shipstatus lol not you see theirs Edited April 15, 2007 by 3vil Quote
*rc 1223* Posted April 15, 2007 Report Posted April 15, 2007 ?shipstatus is stupid i mean all the fun is not knowing what the nme has i mean come on Quote
Suicide_Run Posted April 15, 2007 Report Posted April 15, 2007 I dont think a command that shows ppl ur item or seeing other ppl's items are useful. Like come on, you gotta have a really thick skull to not notice wat other ppl have when they use their ship. Like if someone uses reps, they have 1/2 cc. If they have same hp, they use same reactor. If you see they shoot yellow bombs, then they have HE missile. When they see u coming with a cloak/stealth, then they got x. Its not all that difficult to spec or watch them fight to see wat they approx have. The harder part would be determining sublight or armor Quote
aquarius Posted April 19, 2007 Report Posted April 19, 2007 (edited) Flag sensor - shows neuted flags on minimapFlag carrier sensor - shows red on minimapIt's not possible to do this. You tend to say that possible things are impossible. But that idea throws off the whole "go look for flags" jawn Edited April 19, 2007 by Aquarius Quote
