Hi

 

I was thinking a couple of days ago about a new continuum with a new engine like half life 2 based on a 3d and 2d view gameplay. With newer ships well not just new ,but customizable shipsthatare configured in a space hanger. One ship I just thought about was a Big carriers(like in Homeworld 1) that includes fighter jets with revolutionary weapons and rocket guidance systems, Stealth , cloaking missiles...ready to !@#$%^&*ualt an enemy base. not only that but players would have the ability to use real time infra red laser system to help with aiming. The graphics would be superb compared to cont. Also, there is something helpful for ctf zones such as grappel weapons for catching flaggers.. Also, I forgot the one main problem of this game is .........we need a commander......how ? Tactical user interface meaning that players will vote for the commander they like or the bot randomly chooses a commander and that commander has tasks to assign waypoints and it be uploaded to soldeir's grid system.

 

Im planning to test this idea on MG CTF zone because I played there a lot.

yes I forgot one thing. I was thinking of going FPS game but people wouldn't like continuum like battlefield lalal..I found a fix for this idea.. All we need is a fps radar like Earth 2150...Actually this will help increase the range of the radar as compared to the radar we use in continuum

As I said an FPS radar system would provide better capabilities than what is offered now. At first I had the thought of fps game then I changed it to FPS radar system.. :rolleyes:

 

 

Getting developers from outside is impossible.... expensive............

There are already a lot of people who thought about these kind of things... Your idea is not revolutionary :rolleyes:

 

The few coders of this community are already pretty busy... so I suggest you speak with some of the people already working on something and maybe share ideas

Actually I saw my bro play eve online 3 years ago. So I know ... lol........They don't have a space carrier as I wanted.. They have something that costs a huge amount of money which is the !@#$%^&*AN.

 

wait thank you for bringing up eve.. I have a ship in mind that would fit in this game...Apocolypse(lasers)...and Raven(torpedo missiles)...

What a crap of an idea.

If you're going to remake SubSpace, read: SubSpace -- not continu(ed!@#$%^&*)um, then it should be 2D top-down view as the game is right now.

Nothing wrong about using a superior engine and creating a superior system of the client/server stracture with much more features (granted, superior engine), even making it use 3D models, but why in the world make it a TPS or FPS or anything other than top-down 2D and even expecting it to work well is beyond me.

 

All you'll end up with will just be yet another !@#$%^&*ty Jumpgate/Ace of Angles/what not have you a billion of MMOG space simulations in first person.

It will not be SubSpace, it will not be fun for US (SS players) and you'll basically never belong to this community, maybe you'll succeed and draw your own crowd to your spawn from other similar games but here you won't find a place and you won't get our players.

Yes - remember, SubSpace is the game, Continuum is the client.

As to your idea, perhaps it is good, but I would way that there are many games out there already on the market that fit your description quite well, and any dev team working on your project would probably give up after a while, citing that they felt like they were re-programming something already available.

Hmm... maybe... create a more detailed description of your new game, then post it on the wider web. See what people outside this community (which, after all, is very focused on SubSpace/Continuum) have to say. hmm.png
