Dav Posted April 8, 2007 Report Posted April 8, 2007 Ok i built somone a new vista home premium machine and they are having a strange problem with the sound card. It installed and worked fine when the system was set up. Now every fre reboots it forgets the divers and goes through the found new hardware thing to download them from windows update again. Its the same version every time. Anyone have any ideas on a fix? I have tried reinstall, disabling any other sound devices and looked over the settings for anything strange. I have also searchd the web and knoledgebase but found nothing. System spec: Intel pentium core 2 du E3600 2 x 1.86ghz (1066mhz FSB)MSI with P4M890M-L VIA high definition intigrated soundcossiar value select DDRII 533 1024MB ram (1 module)256MB Sapphire Radeon X1050Pioneer DVR-112DBK - Black - OEM 250Gb Seagate Barracuda 7200.9 Also the system has upgraded cooling. Another thing:The error reporting has a string of errors related to device drivers (about 25 duplicated instances) for which MS claim there is no fix. Thanks Dav
Shock Posted April 9, 2007 Report Posted April 9, 2007 Haha, same thing happened with my wireless card. Go in the Device Manager and manually install the sound drivers.
