Respawn time and ad

The increase in respawn time, which I understand to be aimed at reducing item whoring in basing, has made anti-death even more lame than it already was. You have an invisible guy shooting at you for a good three seconds now, and he also has that invisible time to sneak past defenses. The cure is proving more unbalancing than the problem it was trying to solve.

what is why u kep shooting in a base.... the invisible time was alrdy 1-2 seconds.... making it 3-4 seconds isn'tgoing to own you... u just need to expect that the nme has ad and keep shooting

Or place a brick behind you. Last time I played in a rich/vet team vs another rich/vet team, everyone expects the nme to all have ads so we keep bursting and bricking behind us to make sure that they die. Even if your invisible, you still take dmg so its easily solved by keep shooting.

yea like sui said. The respawn time makes it tons harder for a team with no ad to go against a team of ad. I think the ad time should go back and same with the respawn time. It makes basing more exciting!!! I hate it when there is a team of 2, and one person died, so that leaves 6 seconds for a lanc to be bw'ed!!!.

Is it possible to make respawn time dynamic. By dynamic I mean lancs have 3 secs respawn time, shark has 1.75 secs, wb/javs has 2, spider/terrier/weasel/levis have 2.5 secs.

 

If thats possible....then maybe shark can have an advantage

 

Also, Im not sure how ad works completely but from wat I can see. It r*esets you ship when you die, can we make it so it *resets you after 1-2 secs instead of instantly? This may cause problems about them not taking dmg in that 1-2 secs or so but then they will be visible faster and they wont be able to continue to move until after that 1-2 seconds.

AD is wierd now. I am not sure if this is perm or not, but it sucks when your ship freezes!!! It completely screws up your rampage, you dont know if you are dead or not, and it makes you an extremely easy target. Thus making AD virtually worthless. You can only burst or brick to save your life while half-dead.

so i noticed. theres pros and cons to it.

 

pros: makes it less likely that one person can storm a base and bw a lanc. also, your not flying arround invisible, cause thats kinda unfair.

 

cons: like 11 said, it throws u off. u think your dead, and than u pop out of nowhere. also, defenders might think u dead, and than u appear bihind them and thats kinda lame.

It was never designed to make you invisible, that was just a side effect

You already got your money's worth out of it. I see no reason to change the sell price. If it's less useful, then the buy price should be changing.

yea, i keep getting thrown off when i am killing. I will get killed, wait to respawn, lean back in my chair, and re-appear, usually the killer only a few spaces away.

 

I think the price for resale should go up for those who have had it for awhile. I would really love to sell it, but i dont need that $1.

I've yet to hear anyone that doesn't have AD complain about the changes. I've heard several people comment that they like it. Fact: It's the lamers that are complaining.

 

 

 

It's set to $1 because you've already gotten your money's worth out of it. You saw the price when you bought it. The $1 will not change, so long as it's functional in some form. Sell price changes will be ignored with extreme prejudice. You may, however, talk about changing the buy price.

If you guys actually paid attention to some of the automated messages in the zone, it did say all bought items will not be refunded, meaning you buy and cant sell to get your money back. Hence 1$ sell price for every item is reasonable

Why would a 1$ sale price be reasonable for newbs, or anyone. People love to try new things, and if they dont like them, toss em and still be able to buy a new item in a day. I can see if ad was "special" so it was a 1$ sale price. I still havent got my money's worth. the stoppage in time does sometimes let the bursts die and shrap, but most of the time i find myself being killed without a second to live. yes i could brick, and then the other person camps, sets up a firing line, and rapes my ship. The time has let my bw lances that thought i died so meh!

basically, i bought AD and the next day they changed it, i wish i didn't, i do however wish to keep it on my lancaster, but i wish i hadn't bought it for my wb, since i can just summon to my lanc again and rush again, no point in having this form of AD on my warbird

 

And no, i didn't get my moneys worth, do you know how long it took me to save up money?? ..There is no periodic message saying "your items are subject to change without refund"..

 

But that's just me complaining, its an online game ffs, upper staff does what they can but at the end of the day, its an online GAME

There's also no message saying items will spontaneously get 10x better, but it still happens.

 

If you don't like the item, get rid of it and stop wasting my time by complaining about it.

Brain, is there a possibility that you can have a command that turns ad on and off? Sometimes I would like to use wb in center but dont wanna have ad affect me.
