BlueWyvern Posted March 28, 2007 Report Posted March 28, 2007 The Overthruster sucks, why?It has great thrust sure, but without any high maximum speed to drive UP to, you end up dodging slow anyways.You can't dodge with it and dodging was what it was made for, my opinion is to give it no speed degrades, sure it seems small but throw fins on it and you have a slightly fast and agile drive, even without fins at least you can dodge better... The IceFire sucks, why?Sure it's fast and people can run quick in them, well until a big !@#$%^&* spider guns you down or a rocket shredder cuts you down. Running isn't everything and the icefire lacks any ability to dogfight properly, though not as bad as the overthruster I would suggest that something be done to the icefire to give it some sort of advantage, perhaps deprize 3 rotation instead of 1 and giving it an additional thrust upgrade. In my opinion the icefire is a subpar drive but it's still somewhat useful. Overall I think it's the overthruster that needs a small boost in performance but that's just me. You can judge for yourselves. Quote

Suicide_Run Posted April 2, 2007 Report Posted April 2, 2007 Man. Fins are pretty good at offsetting the negative effects of reactor plants that slows you down or icefire (cause of the rot/thrust). Its good to have unless your making a ship for a specific purpose cause in my opinion dmg reducing armor is better than fins in a base. Quote
