Yeah a bit after posting Makaveli told me he's running the zone now. So, I guess the post wasn't as nice as it could've been, but who knows.

 

I was rather expecting a new head sysop to just put up what's in ?go oldmap2 and let the good old times fade back in, but that's apparently not his plan...

 

Also, Mike, wtf just relinquish ownership - what have you had to do with the zone in ages?

Mike is the OWNER of a freeware zone in a game. Noone owns stocks in 17th so a shift in ownership wouldn effect 17th at all.

There are plenty of 0 pop zones still hanging around on servers. 17th is no different.

Theres no point in creating topics like this because they just get ignored. Attraction, have you ever even played 17th before? You sorta just seem to come up as a user on the forum who spams to get his post count up. I would lose count of all the pointless messages youve posted in the general discussion forum.

 

Work is being done on 17th, just because you're not seeing yet doesnt mean nothing is being done and even if it was done, I doubt many of you would bother coming back to 17th anyway. Most of you would probably reply saying that you would come back but you know you really wont.

Hurray for random people coming back and reading ssforums. Haven't seen these since last year sometime, but I just enjoy the fact that everyone is still whining to mike that the zone is failing.. We know this.. Vile, Telson, Vegita, Emblazon, anyone who has sysop'd in the zone realizes how much work goes into getting just 10 new people to play the zone. I know delic thought he was gonna dominate and continually bugged those of us who ran the zone that we weren't doing our jobs, but I hope he is finding out that even having a consistent population at nights is a wild success for this obsolete game.

4 times out of 5 I've been able to get at least 8 people in the zone, at most 19 one time. It's not really that hard, especially for 17th since we have a lot of exiled players in other zones.

I don't know what you mean by "dominate". I won't deny that I pointed out what I thought you guys were doing wrong whenever I got the chance, and after awhile I suppose I stopped giving constructive criticism, and that's not so strange really. Not that you would've taken it any different.

 

I still stand by what I've said and no one can have a valid argument against it since it hasn't been put in effect yet.

 

You may call me a slow one-man-dev-team though, that'd be true.

 

Control will be up in pub this weekend, !@#$%^&*uming I can get in touch with the person who said they'd host the bot.

This gameplay has been tested for a long time now. In the end it's a matter of opinion. The majority of people who've tested it have liked it so we'll see how it goes.

 

Also, a 2v2 League with a flexible match schedule is in the planning stages.
