what is it and staff this last year? i came to metal gear for the turrets and

 

left because of the staff going on a banning spree not that i got banned

 

but it was a piss off to see my freand get the boot for the use of the f

 

word in a sentence i wrote a forum in there metal gear forum in the

 

general forum part only to have it locked because knight did not like the

 

poll on if the staff was nice and fare or mean and unfair i know the staff

 

here arent the best but whatever you do dont go to :!: metal gear! :!:

I have read this subject but im with the staffers.

The staff is trying to do his best to manage 17th parallel, but all they get in return is har!@#$%^&*ment, shouting and people complaining about staff.

I know that in Trench Wars after an event is hosted almost everyone thanks the hoster for hosting. Well I experienced it a few times in 17th, but the rest just complains that it isnt hosted further.

 

Also sometimes people ask if an event is hosted like speedball. Fine, you think, lets host it. Then after adding you see that only a few people come and sometimes not even the one who requested it. :?

 

Ofcourse there were a few staffers that were abusing their position. But I'm absolutely sure that upper staff takes care of that quicker then you think.

 

So please let stop complaining, just praise them once a while for hosting all those events and keeping 17th running!

I gotta agree with Mav now. Basically after joining staff ive realised that we the players arent getting across clearly enough what we want.

 

I often host events, I like doing it, but I dont always get everyone coming, and you dont know how many times speedball has been hosted by me to have meager numbers come.

 

Also what Mav says about thanking is truth. I often host things when ever wanted and as much as possible! and sometimes I dont get the thanks, but then it doesnt matter as long as you guys are happy I am

 

Basically we are trying to help, and I for one am doing my best as are other staffers, and yeah we do have some bad staff people, but we are tyring to get a good full team of willing staff people to help you!

 

Why you think i'm back in 17th? Cause I got this ER position? No. Cause the bad staff have been mainly removed, good people are coming in like said before, and we will keep hosting to please you lot

Here's a suggestion about hosting small events. Why not start scheduling them too? You schedule league events well in advance. Schedule small events like speedball. If you have set times in a day or during the week that Speedball can be hosted, people who enjoy the game may be able to plan to be ingame at that time, and you find your attendance a little better.

 

Also, this would give those who update the 17th website a chance to actually UPDATE THE THING!!! (hint hint)

Well we could try to set scheduel a speedball timeslot, but the problem is that I need a commitment from some ers/mods that they will be there during that time slot. I will try to host but I do so have to work most evenings so I'm only on early evening and late evenings.

 

Overall I think it is a wonderful idea to help promote activities during the week.

Well when it comes down ot speedball I usually hos!@#$%^&* between 3:30-5 because thats when i'm online and in continuum for the majority of the time unless otherwise commited. That is 3:30-5GMT. So if you wanted some sort of speedball hosted by me mainly around there I could do it, although I can only ever garentuee -90% time i'll be online because of possible problems etc.

Well problem solved, I am starting to do schedueled hosting during the week with set host for the time period selected, I will post times and hosts within the week, it's up to you to show up.
