Garish - overly bright and startling to the eyes. Perhaps a more pastel shade of red would be good...

I see what you are saying about the shade of red, it really jumps out above the rest of the colors which are much more subtle. other then that looks very nice.

Agreed with the posts above; I'd recommend darker shades of grey and a much darker background. Other than that, it's ok.

It looks good, but you really need to change the font underneath "Forum Central," because the first impression that caught me was a Chinese/Japanese theme. *shudders*

looks good, name and theme colors remind me of autumn time when you have crisp apples popping off of the trees (nice use of imagery, if i do say so myself)

Tho i do agree that it is "garish" maybe some more reds or even a few blues or something might make it a little lest sharp.... don't really know how else to say it

Hmmm... there are empty spaces on each side when I put on that skin (using 1440x900 , though my taskbar is on the left side of my screen, which probably makes my explorer window near 1280x900)

Nothing wrong with empty spaces.

Narrower text blocks is much easier to read. Thats the reason why they do it at newspapers.

 

The fixed width is a bit annoying for small screens tho, I rarely have my browser window maximized.

 

Perhaps a liquid width would be nice with a min-width and a max-width

min-width: 40em;
width: 90%; 
max-width: 100em;

or something like that.

It does look fine to me, and it looks more like apple red vs blood red, but it goes with the rest of the red so...
