falcon with nuke shraps

Some players are abusing this glich for line bombing in base 3.

by this glitch, falcon generates shraps of tacnuke. level 3 for terrier.

falcon fires 4x faster than tacnuke. it made LOTS of crazy L3 shraps in a small area.

no way to dodge, almost no way to rep pass also falcon mines turns to a deadly weapon.

I think you have to do something for this glitch.

I saw flechette gun that fires level 3 bullets, wide brick that has 2-times of use. long time ago.

I don't know they are fixed or not.

Wide brick having 2 times usage is usually when you just brought it for the first time and it doesnt keep happening.

 

Those are quite a few weapon glitches but I wont mention them since people will probably want to try them out. But all of the weapon glitches arent perm and they disappear after the person dies. This glitches kinda stopped after HS went SSL but i guess people wanted to use it at an advantage again...

Maybe mod the buying module to shipreset whenever you SELL something.

 

The only way to abuse this trick is to buy (or posess) a tacnuke, then SELL it, and without resetting the ship, buy a falcon. (Same thing with abusing infinite reps by high-bty players by selling and rebuying cc), or pretty much any other item abuse of this kind.

 

All of it involves selling. If I just buy something, I'll never get to abuse it.

 

So, no need to shipreset on buying. It'll piss off players because its nice to sometimes flyby a store and buy something, with present bty/flags. Only shipreset people when they sell anything.

2d, nice way to tell ppl how to do the glitch. You saying how to do isnt that helpful and im pretty sure the staff knows how the glitch works to begin with.

 

I think you should shipreset when you buy. Shipresetting when you sell wont solve the problem of getting extra items when you buy utilities. But then again, maybe staff will fix it w/o in the scripts instead of adding things in.

1. Want the truth? I never actually heard before of the tacnuke/falcon trick. But it was BLINDINGLY OBVIOUS to figure out how to do the trick after you describe it in your post.

 

2. When a bug comes along, you do NOT hide it, you do NOT keep it hush-hush, you do NOT try to keep the way to exploit it a secret. It NEVER works. Ever. Remember that. You either go and fix the bug (best decision), or watch and punish those who use it (second best decision), but not try and hide it.

 

The same applies for the ?passwd= thing. The fact it's kept semi-secret does way more harm than good. Newbie players don't know about it, but hackers do, and they always will.

I never said to hide it, I just said dont tell people exactly how to do it. If you can figure out how to do it from my post, doesnt mean everyone can. If you tell them, they might want to try it out and test it to see if it actually works. If they do that and a mod catches them then it will be a problem. And its not a smart idea to tell people how to do it so you can catch them.

 

Besides, D1 already said he will do something about it. Telling normal players how to exploit the glitch doesnt prevent it cause it may lead them to doing it if someone does it against them. Unlike the ?passwd problem, a player cant prevent others from glitching except by telling staff so telling them how glitch works wont protect them.

I think most people who read my thread can do it. Because it is very easy to guess how to do it.

However, D1 already mentioned this is illegal to do. They can try it out, but at their own risk.

Who cares if mod catches a newb abuser? It is no prob because they tried to do illegal thing.

 

Somehow revealing problems will help staffs to make haste in their work to prevent it.

I had to make this thread because nobody else did. I'v wait 1 full day and nobody mentioned this glitch.

Keeping silence, can be called hiding. I agree to 2D, hiding only make problems remain longer.

Just a few minutes ago...

I saw steigerwald and tandi attached to eachother and one of they were firing those falcon bombs with tacnuke shrap.

I yell 'who is abusing bomb glitch?!!!!!!!!', 'steigwald or tandi?'

They said nothing... they just stopped firing illegal bomb.

 

Steigerwald is one of the staff members, and he was just watching tandi abusing glitch, or he did it by himself.

At this moment I have to reveal that Swift warrior was the person who made me wrote this thread.

 

I think it is time to discuss : staff members' abusing...... glitch, or power.

Still, I would think the older players should play a bit more fairly.

Oh well.

I'll keep an eye on cheaters but I only have two and they aren't always fixed on a monitor. (Believe it or not)

Yea, steig aint HS staff. Hes the owner of SSL which hosts HS. But weapon glitching seems to get out of hand. Before, it was just the multi disruptor bullet once in a while. Im guessing people uses glitch cause HS isnt on SSC yet.
