For instance, one time I built an economy based upon stealing points from others using all of my turns and using the trading system that was there to trade for more turns. That worked...until the war. When the war broke out, activity rose and the need for points increased. I needed points not only to grow but to support non-profitable offensive operations. The entire environment changed and there weren't many points around to steal. I did make enough scrounging around to support my offense, but having a steady income and plenty of soldiers for reinforcements is the best way to go. The thing that makes UP special is that it is untouchable. Defenses can be massed, weapons can be sabbed, and offenses require a lot of points to function. Because UP is invincible, when the defacation hits the rotary oscillator, you know your UP won't have a brown sticky substance all over it when you need it the most.
