Over the past few months, Hyperspace has not had a biller. For reasons, I and the rest of the staff have no control over. We are in progress of getting our biller, hopefully soon. Anyways, it's come to my attention that the Account Stealing is getting out of control, mainly because of the whiners, so I've decided to make this as clear as possible.

 

You MUST set a password (local) on your account when a zone is not connected to a biller. HS simply isn't connected to a biller yet.

 

Once we get a biller, you will have your account back to the original password you have set it as .. which corresponds to all the rest of the zones with billers.

 

As for now, someone has taken your account. Logged onto it using some bull!@#$%^&* password, typed ?passwd= and has set a local password amongst your account. There is nothing at the moment I, nor the rest of staff can do for you. But I will let you know that there will be consequences for whomever has taken your account.

 

Everything in the zone is being recorded. Cheaters, Thief's, etc. And once our biller is up, they will suffer their punishments. I suggest you don't do the same as others have done to you. Otherwise you will also have to suffer the same punishment.

 

Simply, at the moment, nothing we can do.

There are a few things I want to clarify:

 

The biller password trumps any local password, so if you can play with your name in an SSC zone (Trench Wars and Extreme Games are both SSC zones), you'll be able to get it back in Hyperspace.

 

We will be connected to the SSC biller. Some staff members have suggested connecting to a temporary biller, but this *will not* be happening. The only biller that will be connected is SSC. Using a temporary biller will make the problem worse.

 

If you have been using an account that you do not control on SSC zones, then you will not be able to use it in Hyperspace. If you are banned in all SSC zones then you will not be able to play at all in Hyperspace. This is beyond our control, and no banfrees will be granted. Start looking for another zone now.

 

If you're wondering why we've had no biller for the past 7 weeks, it's because the subspace council has direct control over who gets access to the biller, and Steigerwald has not been approved. We've submitted [multiple] requests for approval, but because the council is overburdened with work, they've all gone unanswered. We're still working on the situation, but attempting to hurry them will only cause the problem to be extended.
