Suicide_Run Posted March 3, 2007 Report Posted March 3, 2007 Lol, lucky i used most of my money be4 ducky atked.
»Ducky Posted March 3, 2007 Report Posted March 3, 2007 I saw ail reading a topic, it was !@#$%^&*umable he would get a chance to bank before you did so I attacked him first. Obviously the 2 second delay cost me a sizable bundle
Aileron Posted March 3, 2007 Report Posted March 3, 2007 Oh, one thing I want to make clear to everyone right now: Please, if I ever start justifying massing/sabbing/phasing others, please quote this post and rub it in my face. One of the things I hate most about these MMORPGs is after a while the people on top get so used to winning that they start justifying crushing weaker players, as if they are doing the overall community a favor by taking out anyone who could possibly be a threat a few months in the future. They also seem to have a need to create an oversized alliance of clans for "defensive" purposes, that are always used to keep new clans from effectively forming. They also apparently develop telepathy, because another popular excuse is how they "know" the target was planning an imminent assault on someone twice their size. Trust me, the only reason I will be massing, sabbing, or phasing people is because I'm a sadistic !@#$%^&* who likes holding on to the #1 position and is willing to kick people down to hold on to it. If ever I say otherwise, please smack me with a getwithitstick.
SuckyBelchy Posted March 4, 2007 Report Posted March 4, 2007 Well said aileron. Altruism in e-games is something that only I can pull off.
Suicide_Run Posted March 4, 2007 Report Posted March 4, 2007 Maybe thats y u dont sleep much aile, you want to hold onto the #1 position in this forum game too badly. I can already predict wats gonna happen, your gonna dump everything you have into two-handed swords so you can hit me early in the morning to get enuff gold to hold your #1 position for the whole day. =/
The Cubbies Posted March 4, 2007 Report Posted March 4, 2007 Sometimes when I come to these forums now I am reminded of the people at my school who practice sword fighting with wood every wednesday by the student center.

Aileron Posted March 4, 2007 Report Posted March 4, 2007 Alas, I can only go three days without sleep. Oh well, time to knock you back down to #3.
Dav Posted March 4, 2007 Report Posted March 4, 2007 Oh, one thing I want to make clear to everyone right now: Please, if I ever start justifying massing/sabbing/phasing others, please quote this post and rub it in my face. Suicide_Run Posted March 4, 2007 Report Posted March 4, 2007 I have yet to wake up from sleeping and see all my gold there. Maybe its time I start being lame......but I aint gonna go no sleep. Thats just a silly way to play a forum game when theres only like less than 20 ppl playing it lol....
Aileron Posted March 4, 2007 Report Posted March 4, 2007 Actually, technically all I've been doing is letting you acquire gold all night and then get up at 5 in the morning to take it all at once. Ducky beat my strategy by getting up at 4 in the morning. To be honest we are both sleeping, but implying that we don't intimidates our enemies!
»Ducky Posted March 4, 2007 Report Posted March 4, 2007 Suicide seems to have the wrong idea of me.Apparently since I choose to sleep from 6am-noon instead of midnight to 6, I'm horribly lame.
Suicide_Run Posted March 4, 2007 Report Posted March 4, 2007 My bad then =/ Anyways, I thought of a stupid way to prevent ppl from atking me so im gonna try it out in hope to keep my money when I sleep.
Cancer+ Posted March 4, 2007 Author Report Posted March 4, 2007 Build your D and you won't have to worry about people stealing your money.
»Ducky Posted March 4, 2007 Report Posted March 4, 2007 He's safe for the moment, I alloted my daily attacks on him already.
Aileron Posted March 4, 2007 Report Posted March 4, 2007 Alright this is irritating. Its irritating enough to have to bank my money every hour when usually you don't have to for this type of RPG. Furthermore, its irritating that it takes less time to execute an attack than it does to bank. Finally, it's irritating that when I want to get money back from my attacker, who seems to by the way to have next to no defense, that I get a message about too many attacks.
Suicide_Run Posted March 4, 2007 Report Posted March 4, 2007 This is y i said its kinda annoying. If u dont bank ur money in split seconds u lose it. Which prevents you from doing things normally like playing online games or studying cause if u wanna keep ur money. Your always looking at the clock thinking "is it time to bank my money yet?"
»Ducky Posted March 4, 2007 Report Posted March 4, 2007 I suggested it once before and I'll suggest it again. Money and turns should come every 20 minutes. Soldiers every 40 or so. (divide it up obviously)That way you either play straight through for an amount of time and really get into it, or you can do something completely else and not have to worry about getting to a computer every hour on the hour.
NBVegita Posted March 4, 2007 Report Posted March 4, 2007 Ail that hour thing is what helped get you to the spot you are at. If it were longer, you would not be where you are, or have risen there as high. You and I both did that to many players, and if someone does it to you, it's just getting even.
Aileron Posted March 4, 2007 Report Posted March 4, 2007 Well, then you would need to get on every 20 minutes. The problem is that people earn too much gold per turn. Income should be roughly 1/8th what it is now. That way, you have to wait two hours for the target to earn enough money for profit and eight hours to get a good haul. Right now, one of my turns equals 500 top-notch weapons. I was hoping that by now it would scale out...as armies grew, repair costs would grow, and people would need patience, but apparently that isn't the case. I'll give it a couple more days, but if things don't fix themselves I'm proposing we just all quit. We have to check in more often than a teenage !@#$%^&* after her parents came home early and caught her throwing a wild sex party.
Samapico Posted March 4, 2007 Report Posted March 4, 2007 Did you say we should have a wild sex party to fix things? I'm in
Suicide_Run Posted March 4, 2007 Report Posted March 4, 2007 Lol, i think the unit production should take long. Instead of getting new chunk of units every 2 hrs, it should be every 6 hrs.
Aileron Posted March 4, 2007 Report Posted March 4, 2007 again, 2 hours is fine, but getting 60,000 units every two hours is a little much. It should get really expensive to start upgrading UP at 400 per two hours. First off, the cost of UP upgrades should be quadratic, though the effect of upgrading UP should be linear. I'd say it should start at 10, and every upgrade should add another 10. However, the cost of upgrading should increase over time quadratically so that its harder to go from 90 to 100 than it is to go from 20 to 30. Right now, UP doubles in cost and effect per upgrade, which makes the cost curve linear, which does not help low players catch up. There is some good news now though...the right person is back in the #1 slot.
