Aileron Posted March 1, 2007 Report Posted March 1, 2007 Actually no. I posted this in another topic, but it got buried. The key to this game is unit production, a technology that is hidden at the bottom of the training screen. Unit production means more units and more units means more income whether you are earning it or stealing it. The cost and effects of UP grow exponentially, but so does your resulting income. UP cannot be destroyed, sold, or damaged, so once you have it you will never lose it. You can over the long term grow arbitrarily strong, atleast in the beginning, if you focus on your unit production and worry about other stats later. Even if you get attacked a couple times and lose like 50k gold, if you have high UP you will still get a steady supply of units and an ever-increasing income. Eventually you will be able to hold on to a piece of it. My lead over Veg is a result of not sleeping. Veg's lead over you is a result of UP. Oh that reminds me...someone needs to keep a lookout for multis.
NBVegita Posted March 1, 2007 Report Posted March 1, 2007 (edited) And remember ail mentioned about picking a specialty...I designed mine to help me keep my gold. After sleeping...I had all of my gold! That's not just a coincidence. Now that I'm thinking about it...what good would multis do? Wouldn't focusing on one account be much better? Edited March 1, 2007 by NBVegita
NBVegita Posted March 1, 2007 Report Posted March 1, 2007 Moved fast on your money this time eh suicide I specifically didn't target you so you could save some money lol
Aileron Posted March 1, 2007 Report Posted March 1, 2007 Well now UP increases exponentially. However, after a certain point the growth curve changes and the law of diminishing returns applies. Atleast in the system I'm used to anyway. When I was up to about 5000 UP per day it started to slow down. Creating a multi account was a way to cheat...large players whould trade gold to a new account, buy UP at the lower rate, and transfer the units to the master account. Since no one is close to that kind of UP it isn't a problem...yet. Then again this group is significantly smaller, so I don't think people can cheat and get away with it here.
»Ducky Posted March 1, 2007 Author Report Posted March 1, 2007 UP has a social downfall of course.Because you are gaining massive amounts of troops and because this is a small environment, you are going to hit a point where while you are infact ranked as number 1, you cannot fight anyone or even play the game in a way it was meant to be played.
Witchie NL Posted March 1, 2007 Report Posted March 1, 2007 Despite making a mockery of my awesome duck avatar, I spared you in my attacks Witch <3Haha be aware i can hit 42's defending.. ask the unlucky candygirl
NBVegita Posted March 1, 2007 Report Posted March 1, 2007 Well I guess I could see that. Well it should be easy to find you can trace accounts through the forum, and don't the admins have access to see what transactions happen between accounts? So if one person decides to be too magnanimous (sp) that should be a flag right there. Nah I'll never let that nub be number 1...
Aileron Posted March 1, 2007 Report Posted March 1, 2007 You mean an uber-defense !@#$%^&* build a 10 bil defense and no attack? Actually that's part of the game. Trust me, it never works...eventually somebody or a group of people will m!@#$%^&* you just for the sake of massing you, and then you can't recover. Then again, I need to be careful with drawing from my experience with the last one of these I played. The last site had a protection system where if you give $20 to the site then no one can attack you for 3 days. Eventually not a single guild but an oversized alliance of guilds with a lot of money devised a system where half their members would buy the bonus and do nothing but create income while the other half would carry out attacks, and the income from the protected players went into repairs and reinforcements for the attacking half. For about $10k over the course of about 6 months they systematically destroyed the accounts of everyone else who was playing. We tried to fight back, but the heart of their income was under the invincible sheild of paid for protection bonuses. My account was destroyed but I don't consider myself the loser. At the end of the day, the rest of us quit and they have no one to play with...and I for one didn't lose any money in the process. The losers were to fools who paid up, and the winner was the guy running the website....hmmm....maybe I should create an MMORPG website. Point being, this site doesn't have said protection bonuses. Thus, any death squads won't have teammates with accounts entirely devoted to income, thus they may not be able to m!@#$%^&* as effectively, and strong defense might be more valueble than in my last experience.
NBVegita Posted March 1, 2007 Report Posted March 1, 2007 I also have the second highest attack too lol
Suicide_Run Posted March 1, 2007 Report Posted March 1, 2007 (edited) Lol, yea im moving my money fast....that is if im at my comp. Im probably one of those few ppl that generate lots of money per round....so i gotta bank it fast XD Edited March 1, 2007 by Suicide_Run
»Ducky Posted March 1, 2007 Author Report Posted March 1, 2007 That's what I don't particularly care about this game in the slightest.I banked, attacked 3 times on my most beneficial opponents (money wise) and banked again in 36 seconds. Anyone who attacks me gets absolutely nothing, and I've nothing but the world to gain.We need Bank theft added to the game IMO
Aileron Posted March 1, 2007 Report Posted March 1, 2007 Banking is part of the game. Its one of those tools that allows both weak players and offensive players to function, and without it the game would get full of defensive juggernauts. Could someone explain to me what the !@#$%^&* is going on with attraction? He's a little high up for someone with 4 units. I tried to recon him, but the recon failed...he would need level 6 covert to have any chance of stopping my recon !@#$%^&*uming all 4 of those units are sentries. That is unless there's something about recon in this system that I don't know...could someone include details on recons and sabs in the tutorial please?
»Ducky Posted March 1, 2007 Author Report Posted March 1, 2007 I have no idea at all how he is up there. The recon stats I recieved were extrmely minimal. The only thing I can assume is that his bank is loaded. He's 2 on defensive and 2 on attack, no special ops and no points in coverts.
Aileron Posted March 1, 2007 Report Posted March 1, 2007 I mean, if I recall, recons should be fairly safe operations, only blockable by people who are well beyond your league. Ah, now I remember...don't do any covert operations until lvl 10, otherwise freaky !@#$%^&* like this will happen.
Suicide_Run Posted March 1, 2007 Report Posted March 1, 2007 I dont think its that hard to go up some ranks. I have 0 in spys and sentry and im around 10th rank for them lol Attraction can have abit in those and use those ranks to pull up the overall ranking.
»Ducky Posted March 1, 2007 Author Report Posted March 1, 2007 Lol Vegita melted all my spies with his !@#$%^&*ty sentry level. Bah
NBVegita Posted March 1, 2007 Report Posted March 1, 2007 rofl ducky you sent 23 !@#$%^&* spies!? Wanted to know what color underwear my soldiers wear!?
Suicide_Run Posted March 1, 2007 Report Posted March 1, 2007 I want some spies too.....but too expensive and im too poor =/
jacob hunter! Posted March 1, 2007 Report Posted March 1, 2007 Nobody attack me plez!!!!! I only have 4 soldiers LOL the lowest out of anyone.... I still don't see how I got to 13 place but don't attack me while I have this low of an army.............
NBVegita Posted March 1, 2007 Report Posted March 1, 2007 I can't attack you. In fact I can't really attack anyone atm. I've either attacked you all too much or you're too weak for me :/
NBVegita Posted March 1, 2007 Report Posted March 1, 2007 No more being nice to suicide...that little nub is sneaking up on us. He's up to 256 up.
