Syrus is kind of wrong.

 

When you buy an armor or weapon, it goes through a series of checks before it adds to your score.

The first being, do you have members of the appropriately trained section to us it? Attackers don't utilize armor, only untrained soldiers and defenders do.

 

The second would be, Who the item goes to. An attacker gets priority of a weapon above an untrained soldier. As does a defensemen armor.

 

Depending who it goes to, the following score is applied.

 

If trained attacker wields weapon || 5x strength of weapon = Attack bonus

If untrained soldier wields weapon || 4x strength of weapon = Attack bonus.

 

Same goes for defense.

If I'm wrong correct me, but I believe this is how it's calculated.
