Sector box thing

What's with the little box at the top right corner of the screen that just sits there? One time it was all flashy and im like whoa, and this morning when i came in there was 4 red dots on it and i dont know what it means. It MUST have a purpose.

It's purpose is to make using jump engines easier. Since there are no jump engines in the game yet, it's just there taking up screen space.

If i guess correctly, i think its like twp!@#$%^&* but you can just jump to that base w/o going to those safe areas.

From wat i found: The most obvious engine is the Jump Engine. It allows a ship to create a bridge between hyperspace and realspace, allowing access to a sector that doesnt come from a fixed location, such as the gates. This is an addon that can be added to hulls.

 

Where do you jump from? Maybe i missed that......

I agree. For any item, a high cost and/or requirement is no excuse to have it be overpowered.

 

If the jump drive is going to be anything like folding was, you would lose all energy upon warping.

maybe after you lose all nrg, you get a short engine shut down cause ur powering your normal engine up after jump =)
