Dav Posted February 22, 2007 Report Posted February 22, 2007 I have found that whenever i add a bong to an arena message it will appear as %# rather then playing the sound to those on continuum. Quote
Witchie NL Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 Same for %tickname and all those macro's. Quote
»Maverick Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 That's actually quite logical since that's a Continuum-only thing, Witchie. Nonetheless, it would be nice to see that in subchat aswell Quote
Witchie NL Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 well mervbot can add sounds aswell (not with %# tho). so why not subchat .Im sure it can be done pretty easely. Quote
»D1st0rt Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 %'s in continuum are macros that are replaced with whatever they should be before the chat packet is sent, including sounds. If you notice in merv, you have to specify the sound as an additional parameter to message sending functions because it isn't actually sent in the text of the message. What Subchat would have to do is emulate continuum's macro replacement for bongs to work. Quote
Witchie NL Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 hmm... is there a way to do this? Or is this (nearly) imposible? Quote
Samapico Posted February 24, 2007 Report Posted February 24, 2007 I guess it could be done easily with a copy-paste of what merv does Quote
Dav Posted February 25, 2007 Author Report Posted February 25, 2007 surly its a case of locating %# in the text and if its present remove it and send the correct macro packet. I'm no coding expert but i'm sure that can be written, hard maybe but not impossible. Quote
»Admiral Kirk Posted March 19, 2007 Report Posted March 19, 2007 Wouldnt be hard at all, just a matter of doing it. Read new post in regards to that Quote
