I also have another idea,increase its rotation speed some,because with the nuclear booster, which is awesome because you can get a top speed in less than a second, has a downfall:slow rotation. I think rotation on the shark should be increased,allthough this has nothing to do with being a scout ship :(

I think shark should be allowed anti. But to make shark useful, i think it should have 4 sensors slots and 2-3 Utility but has no converters.

 

This way, it sounds more of a "scout" ship since I would assume scout ships should have more sensors to detect anything. I think having more sensors might help w/ centering since its pretty dam easy to die when you run into 1-2 mine in a shark. With more sensors, maybe it wont die as much.......or just become another ship that eats up money blum.gif

Well I don't know what this really did for the shark, it's not like this was the one thing that everyone was waiting for before they went all-out sharking... :o

 

The biggest problem with the shark is that it has weak nrg, but it has less rotation, thrust, and speed than the warbird! It's supposed to be a pesty gnat but it doesn't have the maneuverability to pull it off. This is what I'd suggest be done with the shark:

 

- Make its base maneuverability higher than wb

- Take away the L2 gun access--those guns are too heavy for the little shark blum.gif

- Give it shredder access. I think that sharks with shredder would be really interesting. They won't have the energy storage to be used for shredder laming, but their recharge will allow them to spam it reasonably well as a peashooter. The new armors that protect vs. L1 would be a countermeasure.

 

I think that these changes would better adapt the shark as a scout or ship that trades survivability for speed.

 

BONUS: Give it exclusive access to an engine shutdown bomb so it can interdict runwinners or team up with weasels blum.gif !

I really like this idea smile.gif. While I don't think an ESD bomb itself is possible, I think the next best thing would be giving the shark an exclusive special "EMP Pulse" brick, that prizes everyone in the vicinity of the user (including the user himself) an engine shutdown.

Thats like a brick attack but gives engine shut down instead of dmg which would cool. If its done, we could have a brick attack verison but giving engine shut down and then a field that does it too but bigger :D
