Sharpflame Posted February 15, 2007 Report Posted February 15, 2007 I find myself flagging a lot with the shark,since it is fast and good for running/chasing.but most of the time when i spot someone with flags on radar i chase after them and they warp away. I think it would be useful so share opinions? Quote

I used to use the shark as my rusher but ever since the shark had its energy reduced it has become virtually useless in bases because they die so quickly. And they were once dominant in center as well, but that has also changed. I agree with mook that the shark should have some advantages so it can be used as a successful scout. Maybe make it faster but not allow it to have antideath? That way it can't just fly past everyone in a base. I dunno...lol I'm trying to put off studying for a mid-term Quote
Shia' Tan Posted February 15, 2007 Report Posted February 15, 2007 lol. i think it would be good to vamp up the shark, but it was rediculous before, with its uber bursts. oh, and another thing. i know its off topic, but u know gow changeing to a ship u dont have specs u, cept ur still on the same team? well if u get all the ships, u cant spec and stay on the same team still. i think there should be a way to do that, just a thought. This should take up one or two sensor slots and NOT be combinable with the extended sensors upgrade. That would make it the scout ship of choice to look for those hidden neut flags. In unrelated news, I think antiwarp should block ALL warps, and that means also blocking token/p!@#$%^&* travel that gets in its range. That would allow countering the flag warp abuse. Quote

Maybe like Metal Gear CTF turrets.- Keep its energy low - Bump up its recharge- Give it a higher base rate of fire on its guns (can't remember if that's possible) OR give it a new gun like a 4-way multi lvl2 with bounce. This superior firepower compensates for its lack of movement.- Improve its base turn rate- Let it use mines, or perhaps the lower-level EMP bomb The role of the shark would now be to provide defensive support: - Turreting on the lanc, providing it with better defense against the horde of javs that come after it in center. - Defending the base, by creating a field of fire that rocketing anti-death wbs have greater difficulty getting through. Sharks would tend to stay close to the lanc to prevent brickwarping. Basically the shark would have the best guns in the game at the expense of movement and dying easily. Everything about it would be tuned for defense. Quote

People say its bad for rushing because of its low energy, but the warbird's isnt much higher. Oh and infiltrator was an item that let you attach to enemys,i think. search for it on the forum i guess. Even if you made it one-time use and very expensive then the rich would use it to lame or nobody would use it at all, which doesn't help the shark. @2D:No the spider and terr are more balanced, with movement and high energy.
