Guest Ayden Posted February 12, 2007 Report Posted February 12, 2007 Alright so I guess I found a way that should logically work for most of the people unable to load continuum cause of the nameless .dll error. Click Start ----> Run ----> Type msconfig Go to Startup and disable every program possible and then continuum should work. After that you can also add in programs to see what can be ran at the start without stopping continuum to find the culprit. So apparently the fix is not in shutting down a program such as anti-virus, spydoc, etc. Or perhaps not even in uninstalling it, but making sure it hasn't yet run on your computer prior to opening SS. Hope this works for yall.
Samapico Posted February 12, 2007 Report Posted February 12, 2007 might be interesting to know which of these programs actually made it work. You could try reenabling them, and then disable them one by one... or perhaps just posting the list of these programs might be handy for people who are working on the issueand what you mean by nameless .dll error? The XP issue I know of is that continuum just doesn't start up and jumps around in the process list... no error message given

And I'm pretty sure the program which caused the problem for me was my AVG. It's not enough just to close it, you gotta make sure it hasn't opened period prior to running continuum.
Samapico Posted February 13, 2007 Report Posted February 13, 2007 I never had any problems with AVG (though I know other people did)
»Maverick Posted February 13, 2007 Report Posted February 13, 2007 I use AVG Internet Security (registered) and not a single problem with Continuum either.
