Abusive Staff This is something I have been working on recently and up till now things seemd to be runniong ok with no complaints. 2. Criznittle Criz as well as others that !@#$%^&*ociate themselves with him often have clashes in DS. Everyone knows we have rules against racial discrimination in DS asnd use of racial slurs is against our rules. Criz on many occasions has used racial slurs to test this rule. When i have seen this i have given warnings but often these are mostly ignored. This incodent i still havent read my own logfiles so ill have to add more re this occasion later. 3. Other bans After the banning of criz many people come into the zone to complain but it always goes further. I dealt with 2 people 1 had a reasonable discussion and no action was taken against him. The other came in, complained and then said in a help message he needed helkp making a bot accept the "!@#$%^&*" command. After a warning he said in pub chat "I LOVE DEM !@#$%^&*Z I DANCE FOR THOSE !@#$%^&*Z yo". He knew this was against our rules and ignored a warning so i banned him. Now he also claims an unfair ban. LID and sui i havent looked into yet so again ill get back on that. Some of this may have gone out of control but people do come into DS to push the limits of what we can do and deliberatly try to irritate the staff emembers they know will give the longer more harsh bans. I have tried to solve this problem giving zone guidelins for banning and what is acually banabe and its worked. Viligante is not the abusive !@#$%^&*hole you think he is. His views on the issues of banning for said offences and what is acceptable in DS are well established and its a line we hold. All we ask is people respect our rules. We dont ban for anything and if any staff do ban unfairly we ask people to contest the ban so that myself of another sysop can review it and deal with it as appropriate. I will look more into this incodent at the weekend, make my comments on here and if neccacary further review our policy. To finish id like to make a request to criz and all thoise siding with him. Can we please stop the clashing, i myslef am keeping an open mind until my review is done. If we stop the crap then perhaps everyting can improve. As i have said if our rules are respected you will be respected and I will also be dong my part from within the zone staff to ensure this is the case. I would also LOVE to hear why a person NOT on the staff list can use staff powers. And why the zone owner (if untrace is really vili) made a separate alias....to ban people with Between ani, u meant Dealt w/ vili as in staffed for him rite? Cause i did staff under him 1-2 yrs ago. Its true, Untrace is Vili. Why? Because he was sick of being spammed and bugged constantly over the last few months by a small group of individuals, led by Criz. I also ordered the bans of Suicide_Run and LiD, as they have given plenty of reasons previously for a ban. As always after criz gets banned he sends squaddies in after him to stir !@#$%^&* some more. You guys will stay banned, any further problems such as the spammers you sent in shortly after, will be dealt with by me and banned accordingly. DS Staff will no longer waste time with such "players", nor with this stupid thread.. so if somebody would be so kind as to lock it.. Ok First, I would like to point out that I didn't make this topic to talk about criz's ban. I included his ban when I first started this topic was to explain why I even went into DS in the first place and people were asking who was the fellow that got banned before me. And I know well that criz may say some bad stuff since I staffed in DS when he was banned before. Second, Jeri you AIN'T even on the god dam Staff List. So don't go saying you will be dealing w/ bans and what not because you NOT post to have any power at all. Unless I am mistaken, I don't think your Dav1, Witchie NL nor any of the other names appearing under ".staff" command to the bots nor is there a staff list in the news.txt. What you are saying is that your using your connection to staff and asking them to ban the crap out of people who you think are spammers and people who start !@#$%^&* by your definition of those people. And you can see clearly that your name didn't show up on ".staff" command in my second screen shot that I took once I got banned. Third, I ain't a squad member in what ever squad criz is in. As I recall, LiD was already in the zone when i entered. Also I would love to know your definition of "stirring !@#$%^&* up" since all I said every since I enter the zone was ".staff", a sentence of not wanting to be on the staff list and saying someone banned criz. If you look carefully at my SS, you could see I didn't even say any racism or what not. Where as Untrace (vili) provoked me by calling me a re!@#$%^&*. So unless im post to suck a staff's !@#$%^&* when I enter DS, i practically didnt say anything wrong. Fourth, plenty of reasons previously for a ban? Thats practically bull!@#$%^&* rite there. I haven't even touched DS since new years and unless you bringing little things like saying DS sets arent good from 1 year back thats a pretty stupid reason for banning people without a warning. Thats practically saying im banning you today for something you did 1 yr ago. Fifth, I didnt send any people to DS to spam. They did it out of their own reasons since I all I basically said was I got banned for talking in DS in a private chat. And that aint even related to my ban at all since it happened after my ban. !@#$%^&* you should expect people to flock you your zone once you start banning people for no reasons and you should be happy people flock your zone since you get a pop boost, but that aint the point. O PS: I have been perm banned by BanG since it didnt tell me when im banned until when i try to enter the zone if any of you are wondering.

I like you, Dav, but you continue to defend something you KNOW is wrong. That goes for anyone playing DS, as well. How stupid can you be? If you KNOW staff is abusive and they refuse to listen to your words, then the only thing you have left to do is leave the zone. Simply by playing the zone you are supporting the very people you speak against. That makes you a hypocrite in every sense of the word. Mav, I re-read your post and Slicer's post, and nothing is changed. I don't know this particular situation, but I know the people involved, which counts for way more. You know neither, why are you trying to participate at all? Jeri, you're a !@#$%^&*ing re!@#$%^&*. The fact that you expect anyone to take your post seriously is proof. First off, take that !@#$%^&* out of your sig, there is no SSZ server and you own nothing. You are nothing, and you hold no sway over SSC matters, or any Continuum matters at all except for what goes on in the zone that you've helped to ruin. You DEFINITELY don't have any say in what goes on in SSForum, and no one's going to close this thread. The only thing that might happen is this gets moved to Spamstation. It's true criz did lots of things to be banned, but I know him and he actually likes DS. I'm 99% sure he wouldn't have done anything to get banned until after being banned or silenced unfairly at least once. And as for justifying things like bans for what people are saying in chat, there are silence commands. That eliminates all those problems, so it doesn't justify a ban in the least. And how do you justify Vili doing things like banning entire squads so his squad won't lose to them? If every questionable ban made in DS was protested on SSForum, this place would be absolutely swamped. There's no excuse for pretty much anything Vili has done in DS since LT left. I'd like to say again, that if you disagree with the way DS is run then STAY OUT. Vili won't run a zone full of bots forever. The only reason he's lasted this long is because of YOu going to DS again, and again. Unfortunately, this is the only way left to handle things. The decentralization of SubSpace is a good thing, but it relies on players doing what's right. I don't know how to put this any other way. If you disagree with what's going on, then quit supporting them.

NOW THAT'S SOME HARDCORE !@#$%^&* STIRRING!! Also, about those people who went in and spammed the zone and whatnot, I told them not to bother as it wasn't worth it, they did it of their own re!@#$%^&*ation.

Thats y i havent been in DS for a few months. I entered to check which staff had a question mark in their name and I get banned in less than 1 min for talking. Posting here does something, it will inform people that this type of !@#$%^&* goes on like all these messed up bans. !@#$%^&* you wouldn't even know they will ban someone for talking if I had not spoken up. If i had posted this re!@#$%^&*ed ban on the ds forum, there will be no discussion. All there will be is it gets locked the moment it gets posted and some staff will say they will "check" it out. Then if you ever ask or get someone ask about your ban, the famous response from vili (if he even response) would be "They know what they did". lol don't worry about it sui, the dutchies have !@#$%^&*ed that zone up enough where it should have 10 people tops, dutchies don't really know how to run a zone especialy the ones who are going through a mid like crisis !@#$%^&* Vili, and !@#$%^&* holland! If u looked at my first SS, u would have seen 5 bots in spec, then theres 3-4 sub-arenas that contains a bot each + 1-2 private arenas that has another bot. If you ever visited DS you would know that they have like 10 Bots running w/ 3+ Staff in spec + Vili's Alias that uses. That alone is p!@#$%^&* 10 ppl in the zone lol.

Could we kindly have you post these reasons? I'm pretty sure I log into ds for like half an hour every few days, and I don't believe I've seen suicide_run in ds for like 2 years.

They're playing mind games and you fell for their trap. As a sysop you have the right to govern DS however you choose to. If they dont like it, tough !@#$%^&*. If you dont keep a level head, they're walk right over you. As for the profanity, the word(s) should be in your obscene.txt file. If people get offended, instruct them to use ?ignore name or ?ignore.txt and that should be the end of it. If they byp!@#$%^&* constantly, threaten to *kill # their !@#$%^&*.If you make a big deal about it, things will only get worse from there because all they want is attention.

At one point (still is a major factor, but not as much) like 4/5 people on their staff were dutch, and it seemed like every single dutch player in teh zone got hired no matter what their credentials were. Thats what he's talking about. Joke was that DS stood for Dutch Storm.

Is he too afraid of making a post in this topic concerning his unjustified ban that he msgs people in game hoping it wont leak? All i see vili done is send his lackies (like jeri) to post replies thats focusing on criz when this topic isnt even focused on criz at all.

I wasn't saying things are perfect, what i meant is things seemed to improve for a while and any complaints were easy to deal with. I also made sure the ban compliant forum was set up so if anyone wanted to contest a ban it was easy to do. If this isn't working too well perhaps ill look into improving that as well. There was room for improvement but there always is all i was saying is that i have tried to make things better. Unfortunately now all of that seems to have gone out of the window so I will be bringing it back. As far as everything in this thread goes i can see this is getting way out of control and i am sure i will find bans that personally i disagree with when i finally get onto sorting this tonight. All i am hoping atm is that I can find some solution to all this which ill be doing my best to do. Watch this space

Thats what he's talking about. Thank you for the explenation, tj. I know now why he made his comments. Still, judging an entire country's population just by the actions of a few isn't right.

This was sort of the case on non SSC zones when they were first started and the duchies stuck together and in many respects devolped their skills together. I joined them in these early days and devolped my skills as well as several others from all over the world. A while after this we all staffed zones on SSZ and when SSZ desert storm became SSCC DS we all moved into staff that zone again as the group we formed in those earlier days know we all worked well together being as we all did this before and that our skill range was what we needed. A few things have changes since back then but the core of us is still mostly the same. The dutch thing is exadurated though. I am English. 4 are dutch, 6 american so im not sure where this all ducth idea has come from. Hope that clears that bit up.

Doesn't mean you need to go ballistic over this error. I seriously doubt u even knew what happened at all and went ballistic over someone saying "communist". Anyways....mav, at one point. Any dutch (ppl w/ the "NL" sign in their names) suddenly got staff even thou they never or hardly enter DS. So then, people started saying DS was Dutch Storm cause lotta dutch player got their place in staff list all of the sudden. Its just now u see most dutch people in the upper staff list.
