Mage+ Posted February 2, 2007 Report Posted February 2, 2007 Dcme !@#$%^&*ed up ssme thanks alot i cant use ssme now is there any way i can get ssme back!!! ...
»D1st0rt Posted February 2, 2007 Report Posted February 2, 2007 Do you mean it changed the file type !@#$%^&*ociation for LVL files?
Drake7707 Posted February 2, 2007 Report Posted February 2, 2007 ehm... Save as SSME Compatible in File menu? maybe ? yes ? no ? And SSME is so friendly to auto !@#$%^&*ociate lvl files to SSME once you open it. Besides, why the !@#$%^&* do you want to use SSME ever again anyway?
Witchie NL Posted February 2, 2007 Report Posted February 2, 2007 This topic's !@#$%^&*le is dumb.. DCME vs SSME is so unfair!Would be like an MBA team vs babies.
Hakaku Posted February 2, 2007 Report Posted February 2, 2007 The answer is 5, so don't argue. Aside, DCME > SSME
Samapico Posted February 2, 2007 Report Posted February 2, 2007 Fiew, the !@#$%^&*le scared me there.. I thought someone was gonna pretend ssme was better than dcme... And maps saved with DCME are most likely to be not compatible with SSME because of 24bit tilesets ; eLVL data isn't supported by SSME either, but maps should still load fine. And make sure you're using last version, there were big uncompatibility issues with earlier versions... And the description of your problem isn't very clear, is it issues with maps? Or file-!@#$%^&*ociation (i.e. double-clicking on a .lvl file)? And whoever edited that post... what did it say originally? I'm curious
Mage+ Posted February 4, 2007 Author Report Posted February 4, 2007 nah i tried every thing Even changing the file type to Ssme Dont work :/
Samapico Posted February 4, 2007 Report Posted February 4, 2007 we still dont know what your problem is exactly... and "changing the file type to ssme" doesn't mean anything to me... dcme and ssme both work on the same file type (.lvl)
Witchie NL Posted February 4, 2007 Report Posted February 4, 2007 i think he means that SSME doesnt want to open his DCME file. This can be coused by 24bit tilesets or eLVL tiles (invisible on radar, solidrock - animated green - etc.) Remove those and SSME will open it again.
Samapico Posted February 4, 2007 Report Posted February 4, 2007 by the way, the 'extra tiles' (191 to 255) have nothing to do with eLVL, but you're right they make ssme crash that and the 24bit tileset... if that really is the problem, I suggest he deletes ssme.exe, and open his maps with dcme
Witchie NL Posted February 5, 2007 Report Posted February 5, 2007 dont regeons make SSME crash aswell?I duno since i dont have SSME anymore
Drake7707 Posted February 5, 2007 Report Posted February 5, 2007 ssme just ignores elvl data, like subspace does, so normally not no
tcsoccerman Posted February 5, 2007 Report Posted February 5, 2007 ssme doesn't even know what elvl is
Mage+ Posted February 8, 2007 Author Report Posted February 8, 2007 by the way, the 'extra tiles' (191 to 255) have nothing to do with eLVL, but you're right they make ssme crash that and the 24bit tileset... if that really is the problem, I suggest he deletes ssme.exe, and open his maps with dcme im not an idiot im just not a nerd
Samapico Posted February 8, 2007 Report Posted February 8, 2007 we still dont know what your problem is exactly...And I can't read your mind. We're trying to help you as more as we can from what we know of your problem. If you don't understand something, just ask. These kind of comments aren't going to bring you any help...Anyways... if SSME cannot open a map you made in DCME, it is normal, just don't worry. If your problem is anything else, we need to know what it is.
Drake7707 Posted February 9, 2007 Report Posted February 9, 2007 hmmm so either you start posting your precise problem, or this thread will sink to the depths of !@#$%^&* waiting to be torn up .. or just locked, whatever
