ehm... Save as SSME Compatible in File menu? maybe ? yes ? no ?

And SSME is so friendly to auto !@#$%^&*ociate lvl files to SSME once you open it.

Besides, why the !@#$%^&* do you want to use SSME ever again anyway?

Fiew, the !@#$%^&*le scared me there.. I thought someone was gonna pretend ssme was better than dcme... blum.gif

And maps saved with DCME are most likely to be not compatible with SSME because of 24bit tilesets ; eLVL data isn't supported by SSME either, but maps should still load fine.

And make sure you're using last version, there were big uncompatibility issues with earlier versions...

And the description of your problem isn't very clear, is it issues with maps? Or file-!@#$%^&*ociation (i.e. double-clicking on a .lvl file)?

And whoever edited that post... what did it say originally? I'm curious :(

we still dont know what your problem is exactly...

and "changing the file type to ssme" doesn't mean anything to me... dcme and ssme both work on the same file type (.lvl)

i think he means that SSME doesnt want to open his DCME file.

This can be coused by 24bit tilesets or eLVL tiles (invisible on radar, solidrock - animated green - etc.)

Remove those and SSME will open it again.

by the way, the 'extra tiles' (191 to 255) have nothing to do with eLVL, but you're right they make ssme crash :D

that and the 24bit tileset...

if that really is the problem, I suggest he deletes ssme.exe, and open his maps with dcme blum.gif

And I can't read your mind. We're trying to help you as more as we can from what we know of your problem. If you don't understand something, just ask. These kind of comments aren't going to bring you any help...

Anyways... if SSME cannot open a map you made in DCME, it is normal, just don't worry. If your problem is anything else, we need to know what it is.
