the 300 ping isnt much of an issue... the 11% packet loss is probably what gives you the impression of lag the most. Most of the time, the only thing to do is to wait and it will fix itself, it is most likely an issue from one of these "hops"... The 2 lasts are weird though, like if in 124 cycles, nothing got to them ô.o

Are you running any other programs? If so, try disabling them to see if it changes your lag. If not, what kind of connection do you have? And is it the same for every zone?

thats not what i meant

S2C: 17.1%
that means theres a problem on the way back from the server...

do a tracert to the zone you are in

then ping the first hop (which should be your router)

then ping the second, etc... to find out where the lag problem exists

Posted (edited)

i meant use tracert (and the ping command) from the command line...

here is from my comp to TW (66.36.241.110) from the command line (Start -> Run "cmd")

tracert.JPG

then ping each IP address until you find where it starts going unreasonably high...

the tracert should also tell you where the lag is... but if it isnt, ping each IP address

(and hit CTRL + ALT + PRINT SCRN to print the highlited window only)

EDIT: and from that trace you just posted... it looks like a problem on the first hop...which i suspect is your router... check your network settings

EDIT2: after viewing your trace even more... it looks like there's a problem at the "" hop

u meann... do : tracert (IP) to all the 7 IPs i see in the trace?

i did that and ping (IP) for all of them...here it is..

Edit: sorry if it's wrong... it's not enough that i don't understand anything about computers.. English is also not my main language.. angel.gif

and thanks for helping smile.gif:o

Edit: oo yeah.. and the order is like the order in the trace thing...

i meant tracert to the TW IP address

then ping each one of the hops...

so basically, tracert to 66.36.241.110

then ping each one of the hops

circled everything i found wrong w/ that picture..

  1. super high times
  2. negative ping times

now i can't explain the negative ping times but the super high traced times means there is something wrong...

i also noticed that the super high ping times were NOT consistent... so there is another thing wrong...

i honestly don't know what else to do, cause i have never seen such unusual times before...
