your op or browser is deleting the cookies. I have this option that will delete all cookies when i shut down EI and my security prog does the samething.

Take a look to see if you have a setting for this. I dont know what op your using so ya. PoLuX got me say this (so ya)

i'll check now but i find it hard to believe..... IE7 here at home without a single setting changed save for no anti phishing filter. as well at work its IE6. but i will check nontheless!

oh it just popped into my head that it can't be the cooks cause i have automatic login on yahoo mail on both home and work and it works fine!

THE PLOT THICKENS!

I think there was an issue with cookies checking both username AND ip... So if you logged in at another place, all other cookies set from other computers would not be used anymore... or something... call it an 'issue' or a 'feature' ... bleh

Polix, there are a few settings under "Security and Privacy" settings that might cause this.

One setting explicity says this setting makes it impossible to remain logged into more than one computer ("Reset member's log in key upon each log in?") which was also changed and enabled. However, another setting stores the IP in the session (cookie) which also must be making it impossible to keeping logged in at multiple computers ("Match user's IP Address during session validation?") which wasn't changed but is still enabled.

I changed the first setting. Let's see if this solves the problem. (Note, you have to relogin another time for the change to take effect.)
