PoLiX Posted January 27, 2007 Report Posted January 27, 2007 http://www.extreme-games.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=15019 I'm posting the first version of opencore. It's interface is just like PowerBot's' date=' which Ek didn't mind if I used. It is available for anyone to browse, play with, break, get frustrated with, and delete. Or perhaps use as a reason to get more familiar with UNIX and programming if the two are something you have wanted to learn. I encourage anyone even slightly interested in bots to take a look.[/quote']Check it out.
»Maverick Posted January 27, 2007 Report Posted January 27, 2007 Interesting Attaching the .zip file here for reference and archiving sake.opencore.zip
sil Posted February 15, 2007 Report Posted February 15, 2007 I've released a stable and well-do!@#$%^&*ented version of opencore that is a nice improvement over the initial release. Additions include command auto-completion' date=' dynamic library loading and unloading (a very cool feature), some new/enhanced API calls (FindPlayer{Pid,Name}, no more SetUserData for example), some new events, enhanced examples, a large amount of do!@#$%^&*entation in libopencore.hpp, and the obligatory few subtle bug fixes (not crash bugs). It includes a functional Rabbitbot that makes a very good example for anyone who wants to learn to write bots. It is a real bot; I just used it to host rabbit in arena 12. As far as I know this is EG's first publically available plugin. You can get it here: http://www.greencams.net/opencore12.zip I enourage anyone curious to take a look. Rabbitbot's source is in libs/rabbit.cpp in the .zip file. libopencore.hpp is much clearer and explains more about the core's internals and its API. I wrote quite a bit of do!@#$%^&*entation in there. Contact me in-game if you have any questions or comments, I probably won't reply here. EDIT: I forgot to mention that this is a BSD program. OpenBSD VMware images are available from: http://www.vmware.com/vmtn/appliances/directory/639 http://www.extreme-games.net/forum/viewtop...p=307563#307563 update to his core. opencore12.zip
Beethoven Posted June 17, 2007 Report Posted June 17, 2007 It's honestly a great start by Cycad. I wish more people would get involved. Maybe Bak can take a look at see what he thinks and possibly play with it with his current project. Beet
sil Posted June 17, 2007 Report Posted June 17, 2007 Speaking of which, I cannot download either uploaded file anymore. Leads to an error page. This a problem for others and/or elsewhere in the forum?
Smong Posted June 17, 2007 Report Posted June 17, 2007 The forums were upgraded recently, all attachments probably got fried.
sil Posted June 17, 2007 Report Posted June 17, 2007 (edited) Well that is a bugger. There are the two zip files again.opencore.zipopencore12.zip edit: i should note that the first file is really big in comparison because it has the server files in there as well. Edited June 18, 2007 by sil
grazzhoppa Posted June 23, 2007 Report Posted June 23, 2007 www.greencams.net is owned by cycad and hosts the opencore downloads too.
