hollaAtme Posted January 22, 2007 Report Posted January 22, 2007 When I play Continuum I get disconnected all the time while playing. I am in college using a college link. I have a firewall and anti-virus. but, when i go home it works fine. I am just wondering why it only does it at college? I really wanna solve this problem cause it sucks so if you can help me please do so
sil Posted January 22, 2007 Report Posted January 22, 2007 Just a question for clarification. When you say you are in college using a college link, does that mean you are in one of the computer labs trying to play there? Or are you in your dorm room trying to play?

sil Posted January 23, 2007 Report Posted January 23, 2007 Are you playing over a wireless connection or a cable? If a wireless connection, have you tried connecting to the router with a cable and turning off your wireless card to see if it still disconnects you? Also, is your windows firewall turned on with the laptop? Or any other firewall that you know of? Anti-virus program you use? I don't think it would be the anti-virus program as that has never affected me. But windows firewall is something to turn off if it is on. If possible when playing type ?lag and post that that gives you when all the values are non-zero. And if possible post when message it displays when it disconnects you. Sometimes it gives a little bit of information. I'd like to help you more but I am no guru in this matter, just trying to help narrow down the cause to a point where I may be of real help, or to where others may be able to help you.
