Incomplete Posted April 30, 2007 Report Posted April 30, 2007 I think spanking is a good idea because it puts more discipline into the children. Children who dont get spanked often end up getting arrested for doing things they shouldnt but children who get spanked too much can end up being a criminal. It's good if spanking is used in the correct terms.

It's good if spanking is used in the correct terms. You can put discipline into children through the use of your mind. If it functions properly in all quarters. Spanking children is bordering perverse. Only adults should spank eachother. Edited May 6, 2007 by The Light
CRe Posted May 6, 2007 Report Posted May 6, 2007 I think spanking should NOT be allowed. I have 4 sisters and 1 brother and my parents would trust my sisters more then me and my brother. 1 time me and my bro were spanked so much with a shoe... YES my dad took off his shoe. My parents would never do anything to harm my sisters and even if it was their fault i would be the one who would get spanked or my brother...
The Real Picard Posted May 6, 2007 Report Posted May 6, 2007 Even The Bible says "Spare the rod, spoil the child". I'm shocked that as of this reply 10 out of 46 are against spanking... man, you ten must have really had your !@#$%^&*es whacked once too many. There is nothing wrong with spanking children (or adults) until it turns to abuse, then THAT is a legal issue all together.
RedWaller Posted May 6, 2007 Report Posted May 6, 2007 You should be able to spank your OWN kids. Within reason of course.
NBVegita Posted May 7, 2007 Author Report Posted May 7, 2007 Case in point: If you don't want to spank your children don't, but don't tell me I can't spank mine if they act up.

When I was a kid I had a choice, five spankings from mom, or two lashes from her drunk boyfriend and the belt. I always chose the five from mom, as hands are a lot softer than leather belts...anyway, my point is that I turned out fine (for the most part). I see tons of kids these days that are so undisaplined, screaming, tantrums, disobediance, mouthing off, and the parents are all like, "I don't know what to do?!" Well !@#$%^&*, smack the kid for crying out loud. It's one thing to physically harm your child; leaving bruses, broken bones, constant beatings, etc. But words just don't have the same effect as a swift back hand across the face when a child mouths off. Heaven help my kids if they ever mouth off to me and ignore the first and only verbal warning. In the words of Denis Leary, "Hey, my parents used to beat the !@#$%^&* out of me, and looking back on it I'm glad they did, and I'm looking forward to beating the crap out of my kids too aren't you? *smack* what'd I do?! SHUT UP AND MOW THE LAWN! There's thearapy for you, crying and mowing the lawn. *VROOOOOM* *WHAAAA* *VROOOOM* *WHAAAA* The Leary kid's in thearapy again, they're lawn looks amazing!"
