The problem is you need population for leagues. If this zone could get a population and interest enough, I would even consider coming back to run leagues.

I've seen maybe twenty 17th'ers in the last two weeks who would all play 17th again if it wasn't at zero population all the time. The problem is noone wants to play a zone with 0 people in it, which is why i said the thing about no-one wanting to take the last chocolate, everyone is waiting to play but no-one is going to sit in an empty zone.

I'm exactly the same way. Except sometimes I'll drop in, be in there for an hour ticked, and noone comes in. I won't waste what little extra time I have sitting there with noone to even talk to.

Yeah. Only from time to time are there like 4-5 people online at the same time by chance, and then others join in.

As for the leagues.. Well, leagues has always been on my mind. The proof of success would be the revival of 17th leagues.

But if we want real leagues, then it's like Vegita said, we need population, a solid playerbase. And that's what I'm hoping the new pub will give us.

It doesn't quite work that way. Without players leagues will fail. They will draw players, but only if you already have a stable population to draw off of.

I think the zone has taken too much damage to go back to the way it was.

 

 

One problem is you need to be good in SS to enjoy it some little. So that stops the new people from playing it, you cant just advertise 17th and expect people to come in because whats most likely going to happen is your going to advertise to current SS players and they already have their home zone that they enjoy, why would they want to leave that for some zone that doesnt have any people in? Also, the map and the shipsets will probably suck to them because theyre not used to it.

 

Another problem is that the zone was always split into half, it was either jav and events or pub, There wasnt much population from the start so splitting the zone was never a good idea even though it was unintentional.

 

God theres so many problems.

 

With the current pub you need alot of players for it to be fun and even then it does get boring after 10 minutes, balling sucks (which might be one of the reasons of why the zone was split in half, another reason being that javs didnt like fighting other ships such as cloakers)

 

Just making a league wont attract players because most likely they wouldnt be interested, i know if someone in 17th advertised for a league id just laugh and never turn up because i know thats what everyone else would do.

 

I know I always say this and I know its pointless because nothing will probably get done so its all just a waste of time, good job im bored at work.
