BoogaBooga Posted December 25, 2006 Report Posted December 25, 2006 I decided to get back into SS/Continuum while schools out, and to my dismay.. i cant really play.. The fine folks at EG use strict lag restrictions and I cant play because my packet loss is one percent higher than their limit.. anyway.. enough about them. I've notced a lot of people have been having similar issues (especially with hopone, see below) regarding packet loss. It's a routing problem to most of the SSCU zones (for me anyway). I doubt my ISP will do anything about it, I have yet to call.. I just hope it gets resolved before school starts.. I'm beginning to wonder if it isn't a router issue with them, or between them and other states/regions. And all the closed/locked topics = Problems Solved.

My internet is doing very fine but after I open Continuum everything starts to lag.. after I close SS its fine again I have some hours in day I aint lagging but this is getting annoying. BoogaBooga Posted April 11, 2007 Author Report Posted April 11, 2007 Well.. its been more than 3 months and the trace results are looking the same. My ISP obviously can't do anything about it. And The folks at hopone are probably well aware of the issue by now, however, I doubt it would get resolved. Perhaps the owner of the server(s) could contact hopone regarding the faulty routing. This is probably affecting a lot of players in the eastern US/Canada.
