L.C. Posted November 18, 2006 Report Posted November 18, 2006 I updated my DCME through the client, successfully downloaded and installed. I launch the client and get this error:http://www.hlrse.net/Qwerty/DCME-1290-LaunchError.gif I redownloaded it through HTTP and got the same error; v1.2.9.0 is a complete dud.

Drake7707 Posted November 20, 2006 Report Posted November 20, 2006 hmm, no settings.dat .. hmm, although he should make one when it doesn't exist :/ . I'll look into it Edit: hmm no its not that, i deleted it and it creates one just fine. Is there any read-only, or disk full or so ?
L.C. Posted November 20, 2006 Author Report Posted November 20, 2006 Hah, works now. Is there any read-only, or disk full or so ?Nope. But after deleting the useless v1.2.6.x patching files it worked for some reason. Either that or it was that I selected all the files in the directory and toggled the Read-only from unchecked to being checked to being unchecked again (although I checked each file individually and there was not a single one with Read-only checked). It may be that there were too many files in the directory / too many past update files? Should have thought of this before hitting my Shift Delete buttons to experiment.
