Another lag problem

Last couple of weeks i've been getting high S2C. My ping is as low as what it usually is.

I can't figure out what's causing the ploss, I have an 8mb connection, I have no other programs running. My internet runs through a router but the other PC that it connects to is never on. I'm from the UK. I've been hearing alot of lag problems from the people who live in the EU, maybe something is wrong with the server or something?

Ive just tried using different Ethernet wires, different filters, tried connecting without the router and im still lagging. Scanned for viruses / spyware in both safe mode and normal mode.

The packetloss starts between hops 1 (your router) and 2 (the ISP's server). Something between these two devices is probably causing a problem - call your ISP and see what they can do.

I've rung the isp and they have checked with the exchange and said theres nothing wrong. They can't see any packetloss or any reason for having a high ping which is why im unsure of what it could be.

 

Could it be:

 

1. The ISP is bull!@#$%^&*ting and something is wrong but they can't detect it.

2. The server is messing up (which would explain why alot of people are plossing)

3. I have something on my PC that I can't see thaqt's making me lag.

 

I normally ping jolt.co.uk in command prompt and I usually get 10-15 ping but for some reason im getting 30 ping. Which is another reason of why i'm confused.
